The cooling system is short of coolant. You need to check the temperature of the two water inlet pipes of the small heater water tank. If both pipes are cold, or one is hot and the other is cold, it means there is a problem with the cooling system.
Why is the Volkswagen cc heater not hot?
The coolant is called antifreeze, and it is the source of hot air for car air conditioners. Lack of coolant in the cooling system is the most common and easiest to solve failure phenomenon. This failure phenomenon will cause warm air to appear and the heater to turn on but not get hot.
How to replace car coolant:
1. Before changing the coolant, be sure to wait 10 minutes after the vehicle is turned off. After driving, the coolant temperature is very high and it is easy to burn yourself.
2. Comprehensive inspection of the vehicle: Check the pipes for signs of leaks and cracks, and check the five-way water pipes. If this part of the coolant leaks, the water pipe should be replaced or the connection should be re-fixed according to the situation.
3. Use a jack to lift the vehicle.
4. Use a wrench to unscrew the screws on the bottom shell of the water tank, and use a waste liquid basin to receive the old liquid.
5. Cover the expansion tank cover with a thick towel, slowly loosen it until the air pressure is exhausted, and then completely remove the tank cover. Use a compressed air blow gun or a thick towel to pressurize the water inlet of the expansion tank and remove it from the engine block as much as possible.
6. Add demineralized water and let it idle for 5 minutes to fully clean the inside of the cooling circulation system.
7. Add new antifreeze to the upper limit of the water level.
8. Idle for 5 minutes, then observe the scale line on the antifreeze bottle and fill it up.
