The Classical Gardens of Suzhou
Classical garden architecture is unique in Han dynasty architecture and has made great achievements. Suzhou gardens, also known as "Suzhou classical gardens", are mainly private gardens. It began in the Spring and Autumn Period, and the capital of Wu was Gusu, which was formed in the Five Dynasties, matured in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. By the end of Qing Dynasty, there were more than 170 gardens of various colors in Suzhou. Now there are more than 60 well-preserved gardens and 19 open gardens.
Zhouzhuang
Formerly known as Zhenfengli, Zhouzhuang had the saying of "rocking the city" from the Spring and Autumn Period to the Han Dynasty. According to legend, the sons of Wu Wang and Han Yue were named here. Zhang, a writer in the Western Jin Dynasty, Liu Yuxi and Lu Guimeng, poets in the Tang Dynasty, all lived in Zhouzhuang.
Humble Administrator's Garden
Humble Administrator's Garden is located in the northeast corner of Suzhou ancient city (Northeast Street 178). Up to 20 14, it is still the largest classical garden in Suzhou.
Slender West Lake
Slender West Lake is actually a wide river outside Yangzhou, formerly known as Baoyang Lake. It covers an area of more than 480 mu and is 4.3 kilometers long. Originally the remains of the moat in Luocheng and Song Dacheng in the Tang Dynasty, it started from the Beicheng River in the south and reached the foot of Shugang in the north. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many wealthy salt merchants hired famous gardeners to build water gardens on both sides of the river. In the heyday of Qianlong, there were 24 scenic spots along the lake: Rolling Stone Cave, Xiyuan Qushui, Hongqiao Sightseeing, Ye Chun Poetry Society, Chang Di Chunliu, Hepu Xunfeng, Jasper Hui, Siqiao Yanyu, Chuntai Mingyue, Baita Qingyun, Sanliu, Shugang Xizhao, Song Wan Green Flowers, Huayu Shuangquan, Shuangfeng Yundui, Mountain Pavilion Wild Scenery and Mountain Beauty. Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong visited here six times and praised the scenery here.
Lingering Garden
Lingering Garden is a large-scale classical private garden in China, covering an area of 23,300 square meters, representing the style of Qing Dynasty. This garden is famous for its exquisite architectural art, magnificent hall and various courtyards. Yundingfeng is the most famous stone in Taihu Lake, which means "you can enjoy the forest without going out of the city".
Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum
The main buildings of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum include memorial archway, tomb gate, tablet pavilion, platform, memorial hall and tomb. Covering an area of about 80,000 square meters, it is high in the north and low in the south, facing south.
Guitoudao
Yuantouzhu is located at the western end of Chongshan Lake on the coast of Taihu Lake, and it is called Yuantouzhu because Dianthus sticks into the lake like Yuantouzhu.
