The total area of Zhongshan Park is 20. 18 hectares, including 3.6 hectares of Meet Lake. The park is surrounded by water, among which Hanjiang, the main river in Shantou, is in the north of the park, and the other three sides are artificial rivers. The archway, rockery and zigzag bridge in the park are called the "three wonders" in the park. The archway is 18 meters high, with huge columns standing and covered with blue tiles. The front is inlaid with the four embossed gold characters of "Zhongshan Park" inscribed by Tan, and the back is the four embossed gold characters of "The World is Public" inscribed by Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Behind the archway stands a bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
The three-story rockery on the east side of the archway covers an area of 1.700 square meters and is made of sea stone. With rugged rocks, winding paths and secluded walls, the whole garden scenery is unobstructed. At the bottom of the rockery, a relief mural of Shantou Commercial Port Map, which shows the prosperity of Shantou in the 1930s, has been preserved so far, and has been listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
Located at the northern end of Meet Lake, Jiuqu Bridge covers an area of 298 square meters and is the largest garden in China. This bridge has a discount of 10%, including a double-decker main pavilion and two auxiliary pavilions.
