Changbai Mountain, known as the highest peak in Northeast China, is located in the southeast of baishan city, Jilin Province. The origin of the name of Changbai Mountain is actually not only because the top of Changbai Mountain is covered with snow all the year round, but also has a better meaning, that is, "stay together for a long time until we grow old together". It represents people's beautiful yearning for loyal love.
However, such a fairy mountain was banned by the Qing court, from 1644 to 1860 for more than 200 years. Because the Qing royal family is Manchu, it is even more forbidden for Han people to intervene. So what's the secret in Changbai Mountain?
In fact, one of the main reasons is that the Qing Dynasty regarded Changbai Mountain as the land of Long Mai and paid great attention to protecting it. For more than 5,000 years, there have been many dynasties in China, and each dynasty has its own destiny, ranging from hundreds of years to decades. At that time, the Qing Dynasty was superstitious, and Changbai Mountain was their land in Long Mai.
The Qing Dynasty always believed that Feng Shui, including the Forbidden City, was designed and built in strict accordance with Feng Shui, and the emperor's mausoleum was the best place to choose Feng Shui. For example, Yuling in Qianlong has a strict architectural layout from south to north. The place you choose is a place with excellent scenery. Mausoleum, however, for the whole royal Long Mai nature is more attention.
Another reason is also related to Long Mai, but it is more direct. As we all know, the predecessor of the Qing Dynasty was the late Jin Dynasty, and the founder of the late Jin Dynasty was Nurhachi. Nurhachi's ancestors settled in Changbai Mountain, which led them to think that it was the land of Long Mai in Qing Dynasty, and people were not allowed to set foot on it easily. They even sent troops to guard the cemetery. But from this perspective, it still makes sense. It's easier to accept than closing a mountain because of superstition.
There is another reason, which is controversial. Some scholars believe that Changbai Mountain may be the rear base of Qing Dynasty. Northeast China is rich in fertile land and natural resources, and there are many Manchu people. In addition, there are many specialties in Changbai Mountain, such as ginseng and mink. In case of war, these resources are an excellent supplement. That's why Han people are forbidden to step into development.
There are even rumors among the people that during the reign of the Qing Dynasty, Changbai Mountain plundered a lot of gold and silver treasures for a rainy day. Therefore, outsiders are forbidden to step in and protect this small vault from being discovered. It seems that after the Qing dynasty entered the customs, you made a long-term consideration. However, it is short-sighted. After all, what really hurts you is the law of closing the country.
