Brief introduction of Shekou Mountain
Shekou Mountain is located in the south of Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, by the Shenzhen Bay. This is the end of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Western Passage, which is 88 meters above sea level. There are Dongtoujiao Wharf, Shekou Fishing Port, Ocean World and Nanhai Hotel nearby, and the location is unique. Looking across the sea from Yuanlianglang, Hong Kong, you can enjoy Shenzhen Bay and the mountains of Hong Kong from the mountains. In 2002, Shenzhen Municipal Government decided to relocate Shekou Mountain Oil Depot, restore mountain greening and build Shekou Mountain Park covering an area of 229,792 square meters. Shekou Mountain Park, also known as Minghai Park, was once called Binhai Park. It is the third largest municipal park in Nanshan District, second only to nanshan park and Zhongshan Park. In recent years, the municipal planning and land department has repeatedly replied to NPC deputies about the progress of the construction of "Shekou Mountain Park": once several major oil and gas reservoirs in Shekou Mountain are relocated, Shekou Mountain will be built into an ecological country park for citizens to relax. Because it is difficult to relocate the oil and gas reservoir area, the ecological park planned for many years has not been built so far. Myth 1: About the elevation of Shekou Mountain, some people say that it is 200 meters, and this data is wrong. Myth 2: Shekou Mountain Park can be played. This information is wrong. There is a large oil depot adjacent to the east of Shekou, and there are military facilities at the top of the mountain and south of Shannan, so citizens are not allowed to arrive. As for the historical planning of this place as a "Southern Tour Park", it has not been implemented for various reasons.
