Dongkou Pond is also known as Shuangbiyan. It was called the mouth of the canyon in ancient times. Peaks stand on both sides of the river. The Pingxi River flows out from the mouth of the gorge, forming a deep pool, so it is named Dongkou Pond. In 1966, Siqing Dam was built here, forming a mountain pond, also known as Dongkou Pond. Dongkou Pond has beautiful scenery, clear water and no pollution. It is a natural swimming pool. Pingxi waterway attractions include: Banbiandu, Dazhonggu, Shuangzhonggu, Liangshilong, Sifangshi, Diguping, Golden Rooster Xiahai, Leizi Stone, Dashuangshi, Yucao Bay, and Sunshuang Stone. In Dongkou Pond, there are place names such as the tax gate and the government office. Dongkou Tang is also a military fortress, and many wars have occurred here in history. Along the line of Dongkou Pond to the south, there is a long dragon-like mountain that looks like a huge sleeping Buddha. Banbian nunnery On the top of Dongkou Tang, there used to be an ancient nunnery, half in the cave and half outside the rock, hence the name Banbian nunnery. Standing here, you can have a panoramic view of the city gate at the entrance of the cave, and you can watch the sunrise and the smoke and clouds of Dongkou Pond. Also known as Yuxian Bridge, it is located in Shuidong Township, 23 kilometers west of the county seat. The bridge runs north-south, across the Huangni River, and contrasts with the newly built highway bridge one hundred meters upstream. The bridge was built in the late Ming Dynasty. It was originally a simple wooden bridge. It was rebuilt in the fourth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1865) and changed into a stone pier and wooden beam Fengyu Bridge. It was repaired in the third year of Guangxu (1877). In 1981, the county government allocated funds for repairs again. . With eight piers and nine holes, the bridge is 86 meters long and 5 meters wide. Stone piers are built, wooden beams are set up, and bridge boards are laid on the beams. The bridge pavilion has double eaves, archways are built at both ends, and small green tiles are built. The bridge corridor has thirty-nine rows of pillars, with three bays of four pillars in each row. There are cool boards and wooden railings on both sides. There are double eaves pavilions in the middle of the bridge, and archway-style bridge gates are built at both ends, decorated with various paintings and clay sculptures.
