The village is located in Lechang City, Guangdong Province. It is all Bai families, with more than 0/00 households in the village. The ancient village has a history of 600 years, because it was once the only way for Lechang. The main buildings in the village are mainly in the Qing Dynasty, with orderly arrangement of ancient buildings and unique architectural style, mainly in blue brick houses. The pavement is paved with stone slabs, the roof beams are beautifully carved, and the top wall is painted with figures, flowers and birds, which are lifelike. The building is well preserved, and some famous brand numbers of the Ming Dynasty are still preserved.
Yingshan Ancient Village was built in the fifth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1407) and has a history of 600 years. Because the north-south Le Yi ancient road and the east-west Huguang ancient road overlap at the entrance of the village, they have become important post stations on the ancient road. Interestingly, unlike Zhuji Lane on Gumeiguan Road in Nanxiong, there are hundreds of surnames, but there is only one big family Bai surname here. According to legend, Baijia's ancestral home was in Changsha, Hunan Province, and he was named the governor of Yulin Prefecture in Guangxi because he was admitted to the imperial examinations in Song and Yuan Dynasties and was officially worshipped by Dr. Tong Zhi. After leaving office and returning to China, I passed Huangpu and took a fancy to this treasure trove of geomantic omen. After spreading to the 13th Bai family, I moved south to Lingnan and built Yingshan Village here.
Yingshan Village was built earlier. According to Huang Pu's Bai Family Tree, Ding Haisui (1407) was the thirteenth grandson of Lechangbai (nephew of Si Qian) in the fifth year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty. Through the efforts of two generations, the upper and lower rows of houses were expanded respectively, forming a village with a population. Because the geographical conditions are superior, the society is stable, the people are rich and the country is strong, the family is rich and the village is big. During the Wanli period (1573- 1578), large-scale construction began, houses were built to expand villages, and the population moved out, reaching its peak for the first time. This is the fundamental reason for the large-scale emergence of buildings with characteristics of the times in Yingshan Village.
