Cultural pagodas are often built in places where humanities are prosperous and talents are expected. According to experts in literature and history, there are more than ten pagodas in Guangzhou. There are three pagodas in Shenjing Community, Changzhou Street, Huangpu District, which used to be Shenjing Village.
Today, we can still see two of them in Shenjing: one is Wentagang in the south of the village, 1958 was demolished and the original site was rebuilt; Wenta Park, located in the village, is the original tower of the original site, which has been rebuilt and is a cultural relic unit registered and protected in Guangzhou.
The pagoda in Wentagang was rebuilt more than 50 years later, and there is no old image reference. Can only be painted according to the gourd of the park pagoda, the appearance and size are almost exactly the same as the park pagoda.
The difference is that the Park Pagoda sits east to west, while the Shang Gang Pagoda sits south to north; The inscriptions on the pagoda in the park are "vigorous" and "beautiful landscape", and the inscriptions on the pagoda are "crown the South Pole" and "climb high and look far". On the third floor, there is a round window. Park Pagoda is on the left side of the main entrance, and Shang Gang Pagoda is on the right side of the main entrance.
