Where is Hainan Island in China?

Hainan Province is located at the southernmost tip of China, bounded by Qiongzhou Strait in the north, facing Vietnam across the sea in the Beibu Gulf in the west, facing Taiwan Province Province in the South China Sea in the east, and bordering the Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia in the South China Sea in the southeast and south. The jurisdiction of Hainan Province includes the islands and reefs of Hainan Island, Xisha Islands, Nansha Islands and Zhongsha Islands and their sea areas. The southeast of the valley is Wuzhishan-Qingchunling-Mazuiling mountain range. There are Jakarta Ridge, Bawang Ridge and Xianpo Ridge in the west of Hainan Island. These mountains have become the birthplace and watershed of the three major rivers in Hainan Island. Surrounded by mountains, most of them are hills below 500 meters above sea level, mainly distributed in the west, southeast and northern inland of the island.
