1. The container for planting banana trees is deep enough to cover the whole root group. There must be drainage holes inside to prevent root rot. It can be made of plastic, ceramics, clay or metal.
2, put the pot inside to get bright sunshine, one day 12 hours. Although some bananas grow in a slight shadow, they need sunshine most. The ideal temperature is between 54 and 80 degrees Celsius.
3. Move trees, if the indoor temperature is lower than the ideal range in winter. Store the container in a south-facing window, so that the flowerpot can be taken outdoors and enjoy the benefits of sunshine plants.
4. Use well-drained earth-rock mixture. Banana plants grow best in typical Hawaiian soil-lava soil or lava sand. Can also be used for potted plants. The soil is cactus. Do not fill the container with ordinary clay. Put the tree in a flowerpot and cover it with roots and soil. Gently press to remove air bubbles. Add about 20% perlite to help drain water.
5. Water the banana tree until it comes out, at the bottom of the drainage hole. Check the soil moisture frequently and water it when the soil is dry to 2 inches. Keep the soil moist but not moist. If the tree dries up, it is prone to harm such as starscream.
6. During the growing season-April to September, apply balanced food at the bottom of surrounding trees. Balanced fertilizer contains nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Use 8- 10-8 (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) fertilizer, and check the pH value of the soil regularly. Banana trees need a pH of 5.5 -7. Sprinkle fertilizer on the edge of the container.
7. Trim the banana tree and gently follow the growth of the banana tree. Control by removing damaged or fragile branches, as well as shapes and sizes that cross or rub with each other.
