Longchuan, also known as Kengkou, is an ancient Huizhou village, about 10 km away from Jixi County. Due to the special geographical environment and long historical and cultural origins, it has formed its unique natural and cultural landscape, and is now a historical and cultural protection zone in Anhui Province. Longchuan, not only has a long history, but also is surrounded by mountains and waters with beautiful scenery. Longchuan Village is like a boat near the shore, with Longxu Mountain in the east, Deng Yuan next to it, Longchuanji in the south, Fengxiufeng in the west and mountains in the north, which is unique. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Hu Yan was a formal attendant, who was in charge of guarding Zhou She City. He liked the Feng Shui scenic spots here very much. In the third year of Xiankang (AD 337), his family moved here.
Longchuan is not only a beautiful scenery, but also a place with prosperous writing style and talented people since ancient times. Longchuan Hu family is a famous "Jinshi Village" in Huizhou. Especially in the Ming Dynasty, the village reached a peak, with more than 10 Jinshi, the most famous of which was Khufu, who served as a scholar-bureaucrat in the China Reform Movement in the 14th year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1478), and went up to Prince Shaobao and Minister of Nanjing, and 60 years later, in the 17th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (AD/kloc-0). At present, there are "Longchuan Hushi Ancestral Hall" (national cultural relics protection unit), "Yi Shi Shangshufang" (provincial cultural relics protection unit), "Huizhou merchant Hu Bingheng's former residence" and "Hu Zongxian's former residence" (county-level cultural relics protection unit) in the village. Longxu Mountain in the east of the village is named after Gracilaria lemaneiformis, a paper-making raw material. There are many strange pines and rocks in the mountains, many rare birds and animals, steep mountains, rugged ancient roads and many waterfalls and springs. There are Longtai Hanging Rock, Shimen Cave, Ren Xian Stone House and Yunyan Stone Ladder on the mountain, Feng Long Buddhist Temple and Guqiao Temple on the mountainside of Xifeng, and Mountain Temple, Zongxian Tomb and Khufu Tomb on the west foot. It is an excellent place for cultural tourism, eco-tourism and religious tourism.
