The geographical location of Aksu
Central Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to Baidu map query, Aksu region is adjacent to Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in the east, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture in the west, Kashgar region in the southwest, Hotan region in the south, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in the north, and Zhongliang Mountain in the Tianshan Mountains bordering Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in the northwest. It is located in the middle of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at the southern foot of the middle Tianshan Mountains and at the northern edge of Tarim Basin. Aksu City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Aksu Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and it is the political, economic and cultural center of seven counties and two cities in Aksu Prefecture.
