What are the geographical conditions of Turpan?

Turpan is one of the extremely arid areas in China, with an annual precipitation of only 65,438 0.6 mm and evaporation of 3,000 mm, which is called the "dry pole" of China. Although Turpan is extremely hot and seldom rains, there are Bogda Mountains in the north of the basin and Kalou Mountains in the west. Whenever a large amount of snowmelt and rainwater flows to the basin in summer, it seeps into the Gobi and becomes an undercurrent, and the underground water source is abundant.
