Zhongxiang City is located in the middle of Hubei Province, at the northern end of Hanjiang Plain, bordering Suizhou City in the northeast, Jingshan City in the east, Tianmen City in the south, Dongbao District, Duodao District and Shayang County in the west, and Yicheng City in the northwest.
