What is the burial order of the emperors of the Qing Dongling and the Qing Xiling?

Five Qing emperors, Shunzhi, Kangxi, Qianlong, Xianfeng and Tongzhi, and concubines' families were buried in the Qing Dongling, while four Qing emperors, Yong Zhengdi, Jiaqing, Daoguang and Guangxu, as well as the sovereign, princess, concubines and eldest brother, were buried in the Qing Xiling. Dongling in the Qing Dynasty was first established, 69 years earlier than Xiling in the Qing Dynasty. The burial order was naturally in accordance with the replacement order of emperors in the Qing Dynasty, as were other concubines and their families.

As we all know, the replacement order of Qing emperors is Huang Taiji, the emperor shunzhi, Emperor Kangxi, Yong Zhengdi, Emperor Qianlong, Emperor Jiaqing, Emperor Daoguang, Emperor Xianfeng, Emperor Tongzhi, Emperor Guangxu and Emperor Xuan Tong. Except for Huang taiji, all the other emperors were buried in Qing Dongling and Qing Xiling. Huang taiji was the founding emperor of the Qing Dynasty. He proclaimed himself emperor in Shenyang at that time. However, he died suddenly in 17. Because there was no large-scale construction of the Qing tomb at that time, Huang Taiji was buried in Zhaoling, Shenyang, not Qingling.

The construction of the Qing Mausoleum began with the emperor shunzhi, the son of Huang Taiji, so the emperors after the emperor shunzhi were buried in the Qing Mausoleum one by one. During the Yongzheng period, Yong Zhengdi felt that the land of the Qing Xiling Mausoleum had a good feng shui, so he began to build the Qing Xiling Mausoleum, that is, from Yong Zhengdi, the emperors of the Qing Dynasty were buried alternately, one in the east and the other in the west. The most special place here should be Xuan Tong, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, that is, Puyi.

When Puyi ascended the throne, the Qing Dynasty was drawing to a close. By the time he died, it was the new China era. At first, he was buried in Babaoshan. Later, he was buried in the Royal Cemetery of Emperor Guangxu's Mausoleum in Qing Xiling.
