General Commentary of the Yi Jin Jing
The translation says that the Buddha’s general idea is that those who achieve Zhengguo have two initial foundations: one is Qingxu; One day is to take off. If you can clear the void, there will be no obstacles; if you can remove it, there will be no obstacles. Only when there are no obstacles or obstacles can one enter and exit concentration. Knowing this, there is a foundation for advancing on the path. What is said is that clearing the qi is the marrow cleansing; displacing the qi is the easing of the tendons. [2]
His theory of marrow cleansing means that when a person is born with sexual desires, once they fall into the tangible body, all the internal organs and limbs are stained by filth, and they will be washed away without a single flaw. If there are obstacles, you can step on the door of transcendence and enter the saint. If you don't take this step, you will have no foundation to advance. It is said that those who cleanse the marrow want to clear the inside; those who change the tendons want to strengthen the outside. If you can be calm on the inside and strong on the outside, and the area of ??longevity is between the ears of the back palms, then there is no need to worry about failure.
It is also said that the muscles and bones of the human body are affected by the fetal endowment, and there is muscle relaxation. Those with cramps, weak muscles, weak muscles, contracted muscles, strong muscles, relaxed muscles, strong muscles, and harmonious muscles, all are different, all due to fetal endowment. For example, if the muscles are relaxed, they will be sick, if the muscles are sparse, they will be thin, if the muscles are weak, they will be weak, if the muscles are weak, they will be slack, if the muscles are contracted, they will die, if the muscles are strong, they will be strong, if the muscles are relaxed, they will be long, if the muscles are strong, they will be strong, and if the muscles are harmonious, they will be healthy.
Otherwise, the muscles will be strong and helpless, just like a plant that cannot be cultivated without soil. How can it be called full success?
Banchidi said: This chapter states that the first step in refining the tendons is to refine the membrane, and the main step in refining the membrane is to refine the qi. However, many people do not recognize this membrane. It cannot be a membrane of lipid membrane, but a membrane of fascia. Lipid film, the thing in the cavity. Fascia is also an external object of bone. The tendons connect the limbs and bones, and the membrane covers the bones. The tendons are stronger than the membrane, and the membrane is softer than the tendons; the flesh is stronger than the membrane, and the membrane is stronger than the flesh. The membrane is inside the flesh and outside the bones. It is also a thing that contains bones and is lined with meat. If it looks like this, the person who performs this skill will make the Qi flow between the membranes, protect the bones, strengthen the tendons, and integrate them into one body, which is called complete skill.
On Internal Strength
Internal and external are opposites, strong and weak are opposite, strong and weak are compared, strong can last for a long time. Comparing the inside with the outside, don’t ignore the outside. Internal strength speaks of firmness, external strength speaks of courage. Being strong and brave is true courage. Being brave and able to be strong is truly strong. Be firm, brave and brave, be brave and firm, and become a body that will never transform into eternity. This is the body of vajra.
When it comes to cultivating inner strength, there are three principles. One is to keep the middle way. Those who keep the middle focus on accumulating qi. Accumulation of qi affects the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind. The trick is to use kneading, and the method will be detailed later. When kneading, you should lie on your back with your lapels untied, and place your palms on the area between the chest and abdomen under one palm, which is called the middle. However, this is the place where Qi exists, and it should be guarded. The method of guarding it is to hold your eyes, concentrate your ears, even out your nose, hold your breath, relax your body, keep your mind relaxed, keep your limbs motionless, meditate on one thought, first think about the way, and then eliminate all other things. Wandering thoughts gradually become as if they are motionless, which is called keeping. This is the appropriate form. Covering and rubbing is all about it, then all the essence, energy and spirit of the whole body will be focused on it. If you accumulate it for a long time, it will become a piece of Gengfang. If there are many distracting thoughts and thoughts about worldly affairs, and the spirit is not concentrated, then it is useless and useless.
Second, don’t think about it. In the human body, the spirit, energy, and blood cannot be autonomous. They are all listened to by the mind. If the mind acts, it will act. If the mind stops, it will stop. When guarding the center, the mind follows the palm, which is the proper posture. If the mind is relaxed in each limb, the accumulated essence and spirit will immediately disperse in each limb, which will result in external strength, not internal strength. If you rub it without accumulating, it will be empty and you will rub it. What's the benefit?
Wait for three days to complete. If you rub and keep, you will accumulate Qi. Since the Qi has accumulated, all the spirit and blood vessels are attached to it and guarded and not spread out. If it is rubbed for a long time, the Qi will only be accumulated in the middle and not overflow to the side. Qi accumulates and force accumulates on its own, Qi fills and force circulates on its own. This Qi is what Mencius calls the most powerful and strong, filling the gap between heaven and earth. This is the Qi of my awe-inspiring power. Suppose that before the full circumference is reached, the gallop unexpectedly wanders and scatters in the limbs. Not only is the external strength incomplete, but the internal strength is also weak, both of which are useless.
The Pā?īmi??hāna says: When a person is born, he is originally good. If the distracting thoughts of lust are removed, all the original appearance will be wiped out, and the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind will be damaged, and the wisdom will be obscured, making it impossible to realize the Tao. Therefore, Master Bodhidharma spent nine years in Shaolin facing the wall. This means not indulging the desires of the ears and eyes. If the ears and eyes are not indulged by desires, the apes and horses will be bound by them. Therefore, after Master Bodhidharma obtained this true Dharma, he was able to return to the west and attain the right fruition. This chapter is the foundation of the heart seal of Bodhidharma Buddha, and the true Dharma lies in guarding it. It is used in seven sentences containing his vision. If you can follow the Dharma, you will be wise even though you are stupid, you will be strong even though you are soft, and you will be able to establish and ascend to the Paradise of Ultimate Bliss. Kneading method
The purpose of kneading is to sharpen the muscles and bones. Those who sharpen are those who knead. The method has three stages, each stage lasts for a hundred days.
One thing is that there are festivals in kneading. For example, when the spring moon starts to work, when the work is done, there may be a cold spring, which makes it difficult to be naked, so you can only open your lapel. The next trip is in mid-February, when the way of heaven gradually becomes warmer, you can manifest your body and perform the exercises. The gradual warmth is for laxatives, so you can do whatever you want.
Secondly, there is a fixed formula for kneading. A person's body has Qi on the right and blood on the left. In all kneading methods, it is advisable to push from the right side of the body to the left. This is to push the Qi into the blood and make it smooth. Also, position the stomach on the left side. Kneading makes the stomach wide and can absorb more Qi. Also, the right palm of the kneader is strong. , Use without effort.
Knead lightly for three days. Although the kneading method is called human merit, it should be done according to heaven's righteousness. The living things of heaven and earth are gradual and not sudden. Qi comes into being by itself and waits until things are completed. The kneading is done according to the method, but it is taken and pushed around, coming and going slowly, not heavy and not deep, and it lasts for a long time and is content, this is the proper form. If the order is too severe, it will damage the skin and may lead to prickly heat; if it is too deep, it will damage the muscles and fascia and may lead to heat and swelling, so don't be careless. [2]
The essence-collecting method
The essence of the sun and the flower of taiyin blend together to transform all things. Those who were good at swallowing in ancient times were immortalized for a long time. The secret of its method is unknown to the world. That is to say, there is a bosom friend, but he has no firm will and no perseverance. This is a vain thing, and there are few people who have achieved it.
Anyone who practices internal practice, from the beginning, to success, and throughout his life, should not care about busyness or external affairs. If the power of swallowing is continued without interruption, it will not be difficult to achieve the path to immortality. The reason for swallowing it is to capture the essence of yin and yang to benefit my mind, so that stagnation will gradually disappear, the spirit will grow, and all diseases will not occur, which is of great benefit.
The method: the sun is taken at the lunar month, which means that at the turn of the lunar month, the energy is fresh and worthy of the day essence. The moon is taken from the gaze, which means that the golden water is full, its Qi is strong, and it is worthy of taking the moonlight. If it is cloudy or rainy on the first day of the lunar month or the day is too busy, then take the second, third, sixteenth, and seventeenth day of the lunar month, and you can still concentrate and make up for it. If these six days pass, the sun will be waning and the moon will be waning, making it empty and insufficient. To take the essence of the day at the first lunar month, it is advisable to sit at the Yin and Mao time. Stand silently at a high place, mix your breath evenly, inhale the brilliance carefully, take a full mouthful, close your breath and concentrate, swallow it carefully, and send it with your mind. As for the middle palace, it is one swallow. Swallow like this seven times, stay still for a while, and then set off, doing whatever you want without any hindrance. Looking at the moonlight, I also followed the previous method. At the time of Xuhai, I took it and swallowed it seven times. This is the natural benefit of heaven and earth. Only those with perseverance can enjoy it; only those with faith can take advantage of it. This is one of the great merits of the Dharma and should not be overlooked. [2]
Marrow Cleansing Sutra: When I heard this, the Buddha told Subhuti. After completing the Yi Jin Gong, you can do this. This name is the Quiet Night Bell, which does not interfere with human affairs. During the day, I was busy with clothes and food. After three meals, the Feng Shui fire is over. See the stars at dusk, and light up the dark room. After finishing my homework in the evening, I was about to rest on my bed. The masses snore and sleep, forgetting life and death. The wise man wakes up alone, and cultivates in the dark night. Caressing the body and sighing that this evening is one less day in the past. Impermanence comes quickly, like a fish in little water. It is obvious how to save, how will the blessing and wisdom be enough, the four favors have not been repaid, the four conditions have not been separated, the four wisdoms have not appeared, and the three lives have not been converted to one. In the Dharma Realm, there are four births and three preparations, six roots and six dusts, five aggregates and three paths, and gods and humans, asuras. The six paths have different trends, the two truths cannot be integrated, and the six perfections cannot be realized. Seeing is not true seeing, and ignorance cannot cease. The Taoist eye is not shrewd and the eyebrows are not touching the ground. How to know and see separation, and achieve the meaning of nirvana. If you can see what is not seen, you can see what is beyond your reach. The cochlear angle covers a thousand realms, and the scorched eyes accept Sumeru. In a drunken dream, both time and money are lost. Wandering in life and death, the sea of ??suffering is boundless. The Tathagata has great compassion and performs this as "Marrow Cleansing". After Xuhou's "Yi Jin", every night when the eyes are quiet, there is light in the eyes, the breath is weak in the nose, and the belly is wide and empty, which is suitable for receiving Qingxi. Look at the two strings at the end of the lunar month, divide the two parts into two parts, observe the meditation at Ziwu, and take a bath at Maoyou. Everything is created by the heart, and the spirit of refining is actually empty and quiet. Always be cautious and don't let yourself be trapped by the Sandman. Do this every night and practice it every day. Only deficiency can accommodate it, but fullness is not suitable. Modesty protects the body, and evil evils should be avoided. Cherishing the false can cultivate the true, and the four elements must be safeguarded. Weakness can hold the body, violence and disaster will force him. You must use a raft to cross the river and abandon it when you reach the shore. Nature creates physics from the smallest to the smallest detail. One word reveals the secret, and gradually you ponder it carefully. It takes a long time to achieve perfection, but it cannot be achieved overnight. Success has a certain limit, more than three years and nine years. Take it easy for a period of time and never exceed this period. The mind is empty and the body is free to do as it pleases. Nothing is hindered, everything is at ease. To save all sentient beings hidden and manifest, it transcends beginninglessness with a snap of a finger. To repay the fourfold kindness, the road will be reduced forever. Later generations will obtain this sutra and uphold it as their purpose. Choose people to teach and receive, and don’t underestimate them.
