Chengkan, known as "Longxi" in ancient times, was built in the late Eastern Han Dynasty with a history of 1800 years. There are more than 30 ancient plaques with splendid culture, many celebrities and profound accumulation, which only show family glory. In the Ming Dynasty alone, there were more than 100 people from the official to the main book.
On the wall at the side of the gate, there is a brief introduction to the scenic spots: the first geomantic village in China-Chengkan Bagua Village. Founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period, it has a history of 1800 years. As early as the Song Dynasty, the famous Neo-Confucianist Zhu praised it as "Chengkan Shuangxianli, the first village in the south of the Yangtze River". According to the geomantic theory of the Eight Diagrams in the Book of Changes, the whole village is located and laid out, with mountains and waters, forming three streets and ninety-nine lanes, just like a maze. For thousands of years, this place has been a place where you can get in and out. It looks like a maze.
At the end of the Tang Dynasty and the beginning of the Song Dynasty, the ancestors of Roche followed the concept of "harmony" in Zhouyi: Yin (Kan), Yang (Cheng), the unity of two qi and the unity of heaven and man, and arranged the villages into a gossip array, surrounded by mountains and waters, forming the skeleton and texture of the village with three streets and nine lanes. It is the best preserved ancient village in Ming Dynasty in China. In this labyrinthine Huizhou ancient village, there are more than 150 typical ancient buildings of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is unique in China.
Chengkan is the only well-preserved ancient village in Ming Dynasty in China, and it is also a rare village in China built according to the theory of geomantic omen and eight diagrams. The whole village is like Artest's map. We have to admire the erudition and wisdom of the ancients. We can make good use of geomantic gossip to build the whole village.
Seeing the advertisement that "there is no mountain in the world that can't climb Mount Huangshan, and I can't swim into it all my life", I can't help smiling: I have come here today to explore the wonders of Range Rover and have this wonderful wish.
When I entered the gate, I thought it was an ancient residence, and suddenly I was suddenly enlightened: a mirror-like Yongxing Lake "Lotus blossoms on the lake: green leaves are cool, jade sells wine, and it is rainy"; An exquisite single-hole stone bridge leads to the village; The ancient house with white walls and tiles is full of charm under the shade of green trees, and the reflection on the lake is even more graceful.
Yongxing Lake is lush with grass and lotus leaves dancing lightly, which is a unique beauty of Jiangnan water town. Huizhou architecture reflected in the water is more beautiful. Occasionally, ripples appear on the calm water, and fish play leisurely among the water plants. Take a deep breath here, I feel very comfortable all over, and my pores seem to be open, greedily absorbing the aura here.
If you want to enter the village, you have to pass the stone arch bridge on the lake. This Longxing Bridge is as old as this village. When I entered the village, I met a pair of stone beasts with a threshold in the middle. Next to the reason is a wooden sign: it is engraved with gossip, and the three characters "Ping An Kan" are very eye-catching. Ha ha! Just to my liking, I will be at ease after crossing the hurdle!
Walking into the ancient village, the lanes are deep, the ancient houses are endless, and the pace slows down involuntarily, and the time goes back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Women sitting in the street whisper to each other. The path is like a maze, and they will get lost here if they are not careful. But it is precisely because of getting lost that we have a deeper understanding of this ancient town. It is quiet and gentle and has a mysterious charm.
There are three streets and ninety-nine lanes in the village, all of which are bluestone roads. The mottled white walls and rusty wooden doors on both sides of the road are all whispering about the past. The aunt in the corner is carrying a basket full of vegetables and is rushing home at a brisk pace to prepare dinner for her family. The men hurried home with what they needed at home, either a bundle of firewood or two glasses of wine, and the afterglow of the sunset was lazily shining on them.
From time to time, there are ancient and huge Huizhou folk houses, quiet quadrangles, the same four-water return hall, the same deep patio, and exquisite wood carvings and brick carvings in the depths of the alley.
As soon as we stepped into the Yijing Pavilion, the walls were covered with diagrams related to the zodiac, and everyone looked for their own names and studied them with relish. Turned a screen, it turned out to be a "private school": old wooden tables and chairs were neatly arranged, and bamboo rulers were displayed on the podium.
The streets and alleys are paved with granite strips, and the houses are green and tiled, black and white, elegant and exquisite, finely crafted and patchwork. After thousands of years of wind and rain, this ancient village is so well preserved that there is no trace of modern transformation. I don't know how it escaped wars and disasters again and again. Maybe it's really feng shui blessing.
Chengkan Village is designed according to the eight diagrams geomantic theory. The eight surrounding mountains echo the eight directions of the Eight Diagrams, and the construction of the village completely conforms to the Eight Diagrams. The profile of Chengkan Village reads: There are three streets and ninety-nine lanes here, just like a maze. People can't get out when they get in, but I don't feel this way.
Huanxiu Bridge is a wooden bridge with a long history. It was destroyed in the flood and reappeared in front of people after repair. There is a white-haired grandfather on the bridge. He sat on the bridge with a kind smile and looked at the distance peacefully.
Go west on the stone road opposite Huanxiu Bridge, and you can reach Zhongying Building. Zhongying Building is such a street-crossing building, which was built in the 11th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1582). It was originally the exclusive residence of Luo, assistant minister of the household department, and was later used to work overtime, tell the time and enjoy the cool in the village. At this time, when I heard the innkeeper explain it to me, I couldn't help thinking. It seems that those clear and long knocks and shouts are ringing in my ears.
"If you don't reach Shu Dong Temple, you won't reach Chengkan". "Zhen Jing Luoshudong Temple" is the most spectacular ancient building in Chengkan, known as "the first temple in the south of the Yangtze River". The entrance to Shu Dong Temple is a ostentation and extravagance wooden door, and the tall "drum-hugging stone" stands on both sides of the door and enters the "Enjoy Hall". The four gold words "Yilun Xu You" on the plaque are enormous. It is estimated that each pen is 2 meters long. I have never seen such a big plaque in my life. Passing through the enjoyment hall is the main hall: Baolun Pavilion. This is the place where the original owner treasured imperial edicts and letters of past dynasties. At first glance, it is really profound and magnificent! Although it has stood the test of years, the paintings on the girders are still exquisite, clear and charming, and the huge Jin Sinan wooden columns are also valuable.
Chengkan Village was built by the Roche brothers (Luo Tianzhen and Luo Tian Rank) who moved from Jiangxi in the late Tang Dynasty. Celebrities come forth in large numbers in the past dynasties, such as Luo Pin, one of the Eight Eccentrics in Yangzhou. Almost all the celebrities in this village are surnamed Luo. Luo Ruzhen, the official minister of the Song Dynasty, the adopted son of Yan Song, one of the Eight Eccentrics in Yangzhou, the minister of the Ming Dynasty, and the master of Huizhou ink making in the Ming Dynasty all walked out of Chengkan, and the two brothers who were the founders of Chengkan were also surnamed Luo. Under the guidance of Feng Shui theory, Luo Tianzhen and his cousin Luo Tian chose Longxi, 40 miles northwest of Shexian County, and renamed it Chengkan.
Even this well-known biscuit shop is still surnamed Luo. The surname of Roche really lives up to its reputation here, perhaps because of the blessing of its ancestors. I don't know if it's because it's a little late to enter the village, or because the shopkeeper closed the door and went home for dinner. Most shops passing along the road are closed, and we can only imagine their magic from the signs and couplets on the doors.
Only restaurants by the lake are open. Those big lanterns hung lightly on the beams, with white walls, red cages and blue tiles, and reflections in the lake. These colors blend together perfectly and have a lasting appeal from a distance.
