In 208 AD, Cao Cao sent troops south to capture Jingzhou. Jingzhou herded Liu Cong to surrender, and Liu Bei fled to Jiangling in panic. In order to quickly annihilate Liu Bei's troops, Cao Cao chose 5,000 elite cavalry to pursue, "traveling for more than 300 miles a day and one night, sleeping in the sun" (see "The History of the Three Kingdoms, Shu Zhi, Ancestral"). When Liu Bei saw that Cao Jun had caught up with him, he had to ride in the east of Changbanpo for dozens of times, and he was desperate for "leaning towards Hanjin". When he retreated, he "turned the flies away after twenty flights." Flying against the current and breaking the bridge, looking up to the sky:' I am Zhang Yide, but I can come to * * * to die!' No one dares to approach the enemy, so avoid it "(see" The History of the Three Kingdoms, Shu Zhi, Zhang Feichuan ").
The historical fact that Zhang Fei immediately rejected Cao Bing with a spear was brilliantly rendered in Chapter 42 of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. According to the book, Zhang Fei roared in the clear sky, and Cao Bing was terrified out of his wits, lost his helmet and armor, and fled one by one. Later generations exaggerated that Zhang Fei's roar not only scared Cao Bing away, but also broke the Dangyang Bridge and the river flowed backwards. "When Yang Qiaotou roared, the water from the broken bridge flowed backwards". Dangyang Bridge, which was cut by Zhang Fei, is located on the north bank of He Ju River outside the north gate of Dangyang today. Originally a small bridge, it is also called Changban Bridge because it is adjacent to Changbanpo. In order to build water conservancy projects, people built reservoirs there. In the past, Dangyang Bridge has been replaced by reinforced concrete highway bridge. The traffic on the bridge is busy, and the clear water under the bridge is quite spectacular. Even so, later generations did not forget Zhang Fei's heroism. A stone tablet was erected in the middle of the road not far from the bridge, and the words "Zhang Yide Cross Spear" were written in a big book to show their memory of this Iliad. The monument was erected in the 9th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (173 1).
Zhao Yun's battle of Changbanpo in Romance of the Three Kingdoms goes like this: In 208 AD, Cao Cao went south to pursue Liu Bei to Changbanqiao in Dangyang, and Liu Bei had to abandon his wife in order to save his life and cover the people. Zhao Yun saved Dou and Mrs. Gan. In order to rescue, Zhao Yun went in and out of Changbanpo to rescue Jian Yong, Mi Zhu, Mrs. Gan, who were trapped in the enemy line, killed and won the famous sword, beheaded Yan Ming, Zhong You and Zhong Shen in Cao Hong, scared off Zhang He in Xia Houdun, and fought with Zhang Sishang (page 7) in Cao Cao's army. . Cao Ying has more than 50 generals: Gao Lan, Yang Ming, Zhu Ci, Gao Ping, Gao Huai, Yan Ming, Yan Teng, Han Qiong, Niu Xian, Cao Cheng, Cao Shun, Wang Xiong, Wang Fei, Chun Yuqiong, Yu Chun 'an, Chun Yu Pu, Xiahou En, Sai Jing, Gong Sunwang, Hu Che, Diao Linxiang, Zhong Yao. (More than half of them are fiction ...)
Because Zhao Yun was very brave in Changbanpo, Cao Cao had a heart for it. Zhao Yun happeneth four generals, and Cao Jun swarmed together. Yunnai drew his green sword and slashed it. Hands up, Jiaping, blood like a spring. When Cao Cao saw a general on the top of Jingshan Mountain, he was at a loss and asked who was around him. Cao Hong flew down the hill and shouted, "The generals in the army can leave their names!" Cloud replied: "I am Zhao Zilong from Changshan!" " Cao Hong returned to Cao Cao. Cao Cao said, "What a tiger general! I should be born for it. " He ordered Pegasus to spread the news everywhere: "If Zhao Yun arrives, don't stab him in the back, just take him alive."
Zhaoyun finally found Liu Bei's wife and children in the disorderly army, and protected master Liu Chan from danger.
In order to commemorate Zhao Yun's achievements in fighting the enemy in Changbanpo and giving his life to protect the Lord, a stone tablet named "Xiong Feng in Changbanpo" was built on the slope during the Bingzi period of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1636). 1934 built "Changbanpo Park" and later "Zilongge" to show the hero's death.
According to this story, at the southern foot of Changbanpo, there is also a relic Niangniang Well, also known as Lady Mi Well. Mrs Mi is the sister of Elk Zhu. The Biography of the Three Kingdoms of Mi Zhu says: Mi Zhu "is the ancestor of, with ten thousand customers and hundreds of millions of cargo customers.". My late Lord changed jobs in Haixi, Guangling, and Zhu Yu took my sister as my late wife, a slave with two thousand yuan. Gold and silver were used to help the army, and when she was in trouble, she came back to life. " Liu Bei married Mrs. Mi, and with the support of the Mi family, he was greatly enlisted in the army, which ensured the supply of materials and armaments and enhanced his strength.
Although Mrs. Meade was born in luxury, she was a woman with a deep understanding of justice, wisdom and integrity. In the battle of Nagsaka, after Liu Bei's family was scattered by Cao Jun, Mrs. Gan and Mrs. Mi ran around with their youngest son and rescued Liu Bei's son from the sword. When Zhao Yun broke through the enemy's tight encirclement and found Mrs. Mi, Mrs. Mi immediately delivered her to Zhao Yun and resolutely threw herself into the side dry well, so that Zhao Yun would be taken out of the enemy's line and relieved her worries. Since then, people have called this well "Niangniang Well", and a "Niangniang Temple" (also called "Mihou Temple") has been built next to the well to offer sacrifices to the four seasons.
