Details of Guashan Mountain in Jiaocheng, Shanxi Province
Guashan is named after the peaks. It is located at the foot of Lvliang, about 67 kilometers away from Taiyuan. There are many kinds of pines and cypresses in the mountains, which are evergreen all the year round. There are many mysterious folklore, which is regarded as a natural Dojo by Taoism and has a profound cultural accumulation. Tianning Temple, Cast Iron Monument, Kunlu Pavilion and Tang Huai were built in the first year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (627). It is a tourist attraction in Sanjin, and its natural scenery is integrated with the Millennium Temple. Mi Fei, a painter in Song Dynasty, listed it as one of the three mountains and five mountains, calling it the "first mountain". Tianning Temple was built in the first year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (627). It is the earliest and largest Buddhist temple in Guashan. According to legend, Fa Shun (also known as Du Shun), the ancestor of Huayan Sect in China, once built a temple in this mountain. Because the Li couple donated money to expand it in Taiyuan, it became the Grand Temple of Huayan Sect in Tang Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were Notre Dame, Guashan Academy and Zhu Gong Temple. There are countless halls and pavilions, which have become a magnificent ancient architectural complex. The peaks of Guashan Mountain are towering, the mountains are overlapping, and the green is changeable, which sets off the elegant charm of Guning Temple. Zhenguan was founded in the sixth year of Tang Dynasty (AD 632), and then expanded and rebuilt. Most of the existing buildings were left over from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are ancient Tang monuments, Ming iron monuments and rebuilt monuments in the two corridors of the mountain gate. Calligraphy is vigorous and straight, or full and steady, with profound skills. Tianning Temple in Guashan is a key cultural relic protection unit in Shanxi Province, a patriotic education base in Shanxi Province and a moral education base in Shanxi Province. Every year on New Year's Eve, people near Jiaocheng will follow them to listen to the bell ringing at zero in the temple. When the loud bells are transmitted one after another in the mountains with the sound of the waves blowing through the pine forest, people who come early will light the first incense of the New Year one after another, and pray for the happiness and safety of the whole family in the new year while sending them away for the last year. On New Year's Day, Tianning Temple is open all day, welcoming good men, women and tourists from all directions. People running up the mountain to pay homage are in an endless stream, and the mountain is very lively. There is a very solemn place, the tomb tower stands in the forest, which is the resting place of Guashan monks after their death. From a distance, the whole Guashan can be seen in a glance. I only see pines and cypresses hanging all over the mountain, with twisted trunks and southerly trees. All trees are the same. Why are so many pines and cypresses here so magical? There is a touching legend here: it is said that the gods gave a shepherd boy who worked hard all the year round a cornucopia, but the greedy rich man tried his best to keep it for himself after learning about it. The shepherd boy was afraid that the cornucopia would fall into the hands of the rich man and harm the people, so he buried it in Guashan Mountain and marked it with twisted tree trunks. But the news was still known by the greedy rich man, and he decided to steal the treasure for the second time. Since then, the twisted pines and cypresses all over the mountain have become "a must in Guashan".
