Every monk in Jiuhuashan dies, he must keep his body for a period of time (the shortest seven days and the longest three years) to see if he can become a real body. Its burial method is also very special. After the monk died, he scrubbed the body clean, put it in a special clay pot, stuffed charcoal around the body to the neck, put a lime bag in his head, then covered the cylinder head, sealed it with yellow mud and stored it in a cool and ventilated place. Sealed pottery pots are isolated from the air, and charcoal absorbs the remains. The water inside dehydrated them. Once the remains are rotten and smelly, the fire hole at the bottom of the clay pot will be opened and charcoal will be lit for cremation. Sitting in the jar is only the external condition to form the true body, and its internal cause depends on their practice before their death. Being a vegetarian for many years and paying attention to meditation for a long time will inevitably lead to the connection of qi and blood, the lack of bones and muscles, and the dryness of joints. Besides, I knew my time was up before I meditated. Generally, for ten and a half months, I didn't touch food or water, my stomach and intestines were empty, and my body had almost no fat and water, which laid the foundation for sitting in the jar and turning it into meat and body after death. But even so, there are very few people who can be honest. Only a few monks and nuns have retained their flesh, so after three years, they will be "flesh bodhisattva"-shaped flesh. Make-up pigment first, and then make-up gold powder three years later, so that the body is basically isolated from the outside world.
