Shi became the magistrate of Taizhou, Jiangsu Province in the 24th year of Kangxi (1685) because of his father's shadow. In the 28th year of Kangxi (1689), due to his outstanding achievements, Emperor Kangxi wanted to promote Shi to other places. However, due to the retention of local residents, he was awarded the Yangzhou magistrate on the spot. The thirty-second year of Kangxi (1693) and the forty-third year of Kangxi (1694) were respectively assigned to Jiangning and Anhui.
In the fifty-fourth year of Kangxi (17 15), he served as the governor of grain transportation. The full name is "governor of grain transportation and military affairs prefect, Fengyang and other places also manage rivers." He is a senior official in charge of water transport affairs in the Qing Dynasty, and he is 57 years old this year. When Shi was appointed as Cao Du, he was already sickly and finally died in May of the sixty-first year of Kangxi (1722) at the age of 64. The stone tomb is located in the town and village of Huian County, Fujian Province.
History is an honest official, enforce the law impartially, be not afraid of powerful people, be diligent and love the people. He was called "Shi Qingtian" among the people and "the first upright official in the south of the Yangtze River" by Emperor Kangxi.
