1. Teachers should have profound cultural knowledge and superb professional level. Society is developing and knowledge is updating. We all know: "A teacher needs a bucket of water to give his students a glass of water." We teachers should constantly learn professional knowledge and business skills to turn our bucket of water into fresh water. English, in particular, requires teachers to constantly update their knowledge. Chernyshevski, a Russian educator, said, "What kind of people should teachers cultivate their students?" . "In particular, quality education aims at cultivating talents in many aspects and levels. In order to achieve this goal, teachers should also have various and multi-level cultural knowledge and professional level. If an English teacher has extensive knowledge, rich experience and solid foundation, he will be able to be handy in English teaching, his classes will be interesting and fascinating, and the teaching quality will be greatly improved. Therefore, teachers should keep pace with the times, consciously keep up with the pace of the times and improve the quality of all aspects to meet the needs of the development of contemporary education. The rational development of education will make us face severe tests and challenges. In the process of implementing quality education, while imparting knowledge to students, teachers should constantly update their knowledge, broaden their knowledge fields, constantly learn to recharge their batteries, improve their ability of teaching and educating people, and educate students who are truly talented and practical.
2. Teachers should keep educational diaries. Educational diary is to record what we see, hear, think and realize in the form of diary. The book "Teachers in China: Cultivation of Professional Quality" says: You can become an excellent educator by keeping an educational diary, being a conscientious person and summing up the gains and losses of education seriously. When writing an educational diary, you should remember something meaningful, highlight the key points, seize the highlights and grasp the main points. Soviet educator Suhomlinski said: "I suggest that every teacher keep an educational diary, which is a great wealth." Writing an educational diary will benefit teachers for life. " He wrote in How I Write an Educational Diary, "You write down every fact that caught your attention and even caused you some vague guesses. Accumulate facts and be good at seeing things from collective things-this is an intellectual foundation. With this foundation, there will inevitably be a moment when you suddenly wake up and the essence of the truth that has been hiding from you for a long time will suddenly open in front of you. " On the basis of traditional educational methods, educational diary enriches educational methods and strengthens written educational methods in the form of diary, which has its irreplaceable educational function. For example, it is more rational and accurate than oral education, and it can naturally filter out some bad words in oral English; The solidification of its words can give writers and readers more room for reflection and aftertaste, and its persistent writing requirements will also urge teachers to set a good example for students.
(2) Pay attention to teaching practice and teaching reflection. Any teacher's growth is inseparable from the tempering of practice. Teaching wisdom without teaching practice can only be a castle in the air, and the generation of teaching wisdom needs to be carried out closely around classroom teaching practice. In order to achieve better teaching results in classroom practice, teachers should pay attention to the following points:
1. It is one of the basic skills of teachers to ponder the teaching materials before class. Only by mastering the characteristics and details of the textbook can teachers unify the "assembly" knowledge and ensure the systematization and coherence of the knowledge points to be taught after fine-tuning; Another basic skill before class is to ponder over students, presuppose classroom teaching according to their differences, and imagine "unexpected" questions and "unexpected" reactions that students may ask, which is also a process of using existing knowledge and experience.
2. Classroom observation is the key. In classroom teaching, teachers' presupposition work has been tested by practice, and it is also a process of showing teachers' experience and wisdom. In the classroom, students' emotions, expressions and psychology will change. Whether students can participate in the teaching activities designed by teachers and produce the effects envisaged by teachers depends more on the guidance and organization of teachers. In fact, in a dynamic classroom, it is difficult for teachers to completely control the whole learning process of students, and it is also difficult to take into account the thinking process of each student. It is in this case that the differences between teachers' abilities and wisdom are highlighted. Teachers should practice the skill of "seeing things in detail", and pay attention to the reactions of most students as well as the changes of a few students; We should not only pay attention to students' mastery of knowledge, but also pay attention to students' perception of subject thinking methods and emotions; We should not only impart knowledge, but also infiltrate the wisdom of life.
For example, once, we listened to a teacher having an English class at my home in Unit4, Grade 4. In a game of "hide and seek", the teacher hid an eraser and asked the students, "Where is it?" Where is the eraser? )。 The teacher only used an eraser from beginning to end, which easily made the students lose interest. She can also use more things, such as pencils, pencil cases, books and so on. This will arouse students' interest and make them feel that many things in life can be expressed in English, thus making them love English more.
3. Reflection after class is the key. In classroom teaching, teachers can find many unexpected teaching situations. For example: strange questions raised by students, mistakes in teaching and learning, etc. Teachers need to make an in-depth analysis of these problems and find out the causal relationship. Through reflection, we can make future classroom teaching more perfect and teachers' teaching wisdom constantly improve.
(3) Strengthening the strength of teachers' personality Teachers are the biggest source of influence on students' growth, and should be a model for students to establish their own complete personality. Tagore once said: "The only purpose of education is to convey the breath of life to people." As a primary school English teacher, we treat every student positively, enthusiastically and lovingly, so that students can enjoy the happiness of education. There was once a case where a young female teacher shouted at her students in a class. The indifference of the students made the teacher add fuel to the fire. "So-and-so, you come out and go to the teacher's office. If other students don't obey discipline, so will you. " It was a little girl who was called out, suddenly blushed, left her pencil case, fiddled with a desk, and slowly and reluctantly walked out of the classroom. Then only a few students echoed the teacher and read it over and over again until the voice became louder and louder. Some students are staring at the upside-down books, some students are prone on the table, and some students are staring straight out of the window. Later, I learned that this young female teacher has just joined the work, and she is usually serious and responsible, and she is very strict with her children. She loves her students very much, and almost every time after class, she has to make up for mistakes or deal with students' problems. But she did it, right? Students are the masters of the classroom. As a classroom guide, teachers should never bring their emotions into the classroom, let alone speak excessively, which will hurt children's self-esteem and destroy the relationship between teachers and students. They should always keep a cheerful mood and a positive and optimistic attitude, and lead students to swim happily in the ocean of knowledge. Therefore, it is not enough for teachers to love students only. They should learn how to love, from simple ignorance to mature wisdom!
(D) Strengthen teachers' innovative literacy and improve teaching effect.
1. Teachers should explore the network teaching mode. On the basis of mastering subject knowledge and conventional teaching methods and means, teachers should also master subject-related knowledge and modern teaching methods and means. The arrival of the network and multimedia era has undoubtedly brought profound changes to education. Today, as a teacher, it is not enough to limit yourself to a mouth, a book, a blackboard and a piece of chalk. We have entered the era of digital information, and multimedia teaching has officially moved towards classroom teaching, especially English classroom teaching. This has undoubtedly injected new blood into English classroom teaching and provided new ideas for changing the traditional English classroom teaching mode. The key of multimedia-assisted teaching lies in courseware, and teachers should make courseware by themselves so as to integrate their teaching plans, teaching ideas and characteristics into it. This not only reflects their teaching style, but also aims at the characteristics of students in this class, which is easy for students to accept. In the process of using multimedia, teachers should avoid flashy teaching or excessive abuse of multimedia teaching, let students browse in the classroom, weaken the leading role of teachers in teaching, and violate the purpose of multimedia-assisted teaching.
2. Teachers should cultivate students' innovative ability. Teachers' innovative ability directly affects students' innovative ability. Teachers should constantly update their education and teaching concepts, boldly innovate and explore, and constantly enrich and expand their knowledge. Mr. Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, said: "Democracy is the best condition for creation ... Only democracy can liberate the creativity of most people and make their creativity reach its peak." It can be seen that creating a democratic and harmonious classroom teaching atmosphere can maximize students' creative potential, thus cultivating students' innovative spirit and ability. In the process of English teaching, teachers should understand the truth that it is better to teach people to fish than to teach them to fish. Teachers' teaching process should be based on textbooks, with people and things around them and knowledge in life as the material, and English as the medium to develop students' thinking and broaden their knowledge. The ancients said, "Learning begins with thinking, and thinking originates from doubt." "Learning is expensive and knowing doubts, small doubts are small, and big doubts are big." Teachers should encourage students to find problems and question them boldly. In teaching, they might as well give students more time, guide them to ask more why, consciously develop it and cultivate it. The focus of teaching should shift from "teaching" to students' "learning", so that students can become active and become the main body of teaching activities, cultivate students' autonomous learning, and let students really participate in teaching activities as "masters". In particular, students should be encouraged to find their own laws, learn to sum up by themselves, develop their intelligence through their own thinking, find problems and solve them.
This is an excerpt from my previous graduation thesis. I hope it works for you.
