There is a thousand-year-old ancient pagoda in Xiaoxian County, Liaoning Province, which is more primitive than Leifeng Pagoda in Zhejiang Province, and is related to Taifei in Tai Huang in Liao Dynasty. When it comes to historical sites in China, I believe that many people think of Shanxi, Shaanxi or Henan first. However, Liaoning, located in the northeast of China, is actually a treasure house with many historical sites, especially in western Liaoning, which deserves to be regarded as the most dazzling place among the historical sites in Liaoning.

The picture above shows Fengguo Temple in Yixian County, Liaoning Province.

For example, there are three national key cultural protection units in Yixian, Jinzhou. In addition to the well-known Fengguo Temple and Wanfo Hall Grottoes, Guangsheng Temple Tower hidden in downtown area is also a historic site listed in the seventh batch of protected units.

There are two opinions about the construction date of Guangsheng Temple Tower. One is that Liao Shengzong opened Thailand for nine years, that is, at the same time as Fengguo Temple; Another way of saying this is that the unearthed classic buildings record the inscription of Gan Tong for seven years, that is, the year number of the last emperor of Liao Dynasty, but there is no doubt that Guangsheng Temple Tower is a Liao Dynasty building.

You can take very vivid photos in the alleys along the way.

Walk from Fengguo Temple Scenic Area along the old town of Yixian County to Guangsheng Temple Tayo 18 minutes. Today's Guangsheng Temple Tower is enclosed in a small courtyard. If you want to enter the hospital, you need the administrator to open the door. Fortunately, the administrator is here to watch most of the time.

The whole yard is very narrow, which can make the ancient pagoda look more majestic. Guangsheng Temple Tower is about 42.5 meters high, and its shape is a classic octagonal 13-story dense eaves tower in Liao Dynasty.

The tower is octagonal, 6 meters on each side and 2.9 meters high. After the repair, it was reinforced with white gypsum and cut flat, which made the original shape difficult to distinguish.

First, let's look at the tower foundation. Xumi Mountain is about one-fifth of the height of the tower, and there is a huge lion carved on the door of the pot, which is a rare animal shape in other Liao towers that Ma and Stop have seen, and it has also become a major feature of Guangsheng Temple Tower in Yixian County.

There is a statue of Lux carved on each corner on both sides of Mount Sumi. Lux is burly, wearing armor, wide-eyed and dignified.

There is a lotus carved on the top of Sumeru, looking up at Guangsheng Temple Tower. There is a Buddhist shrine in the middle of the eight sides of the tower, where a brick Buddha statue is enshrined and two threatened bodhisattvas stand next to it.

The Bodhisattva stood with his hands down, wearing a long skirt, a garland and a crown. Compared with the statues in the Tang Dynasty, it has a little more secular flavor, as if it were a folk girl in the Liao Dynasty. Look carefully, these bodhisattvas are all round faces and big eyes, and they look a little more amiable.

Buddha and Bodhisattva have treasure covers on their heads, and the main Buddha's treasure cover is engraved with flying. Two flying skirts are flying in the sky, dancing as if to fly out of the pagoda, graceful and light, making a Buddha-like gesture. No matter Buddha, Bodhisattva or Tian Fei, they are lifelike, showing the superb carving skills of Liao Dynasty.

But in the Buddhist shrine in the northeast, I found a statue of Buddha with different shapes, wearing a crown, long eyebrows and delicate face, just like a woman's face.

So why is this Buddha statue different from other seven main buddhas? It is said that this Buddha statue is probably that of Daozong Huifei. According to legend, Hui Fei has been living in Yizhou, which is now Yixian, since she was demoted to Shu Ren in two years. It was not until the sixth year of Tianqing that she was able to regain her freedom.

Guangsheng Temple Tower located in Yixian naturally has a little connection with Daozong Huifei, which is also consistent with the inscription unearthed from the seven-year classics building in Gantong.

From the first floor to the 13 floor, the tower gradually tapers into a cone, and the whole looks very delicate.

The tower gate looks a little too new, it should be added later, and it doesn't look as dazzling as the Liao tower in Beizhen.

It can be said that there are few tourists in 5 yuan's Guangsheng Temple Pagoda, but when you see this ancient pagoda with your own eyes, you will be attracted by its majestic and quaint temperament, especially because it interprets the architectural skills of the ancestors of Liao Dynasty.

Tips for tourism of Guangsheng Temple Tower;
