Historically, the Huaihe River has been known as the "four blasphemies"-the Yellow River is the "mother river", the Yangtze River is the "life river", the water is the "Siyuan River" and the Huaihe River is the "Feng Shui River". Among the four blasphemies, the source of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River is inaccessible, and the source of the Huaihe River and Jishui River, which originated in the Central Plains, has become a place for emperors to sacrifice. In 22 1 year BC, the imperial edict of Qin Shihuang offered sacrifices to famous mountains and rivers, including the Huaihe River. So Tongbai Mountain was built into Huaisi Temple. In order to pray and eliminate disasters, kings of past dynasties have named Huai God from the God of Dahuai to the Gonghe of Changyuan. Now there is a well on the Taibai top of the main peak, which is called "Dahuai Well". Huaihe River flows more than 1000 kilometers from here, with a drainage area of 270,000 square kilometers. Dahuai well is abundant all the year round and has never dried up. When Lu Yu of Cha Sheng visited the famous tea-making spring in the Tang Dynasty, he listed Huaiyuan water as "the ninth best water in the world".

Because Tongbai Mountain has the aura of nostalgia, hermits once listed Tongbai Mountain as the "41st blessed land" among the "72nd blessed land in the world". During Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty, Taibaiding Yuntai Temple enjoyed the reputation of "Putuo in the south and Yuntai in the north". It has become a famous Buddhist resort in the Central Plains, with many famous monks.

There is a Tallinn at the top of the mountain and more than ten ancient pagodas, mostly made of rocks.

Autumn is the most beautiful and charming season in Tongbai Mountain. Every year before the early frost in June+10, 5438, the cotinus coggygria trees all over the mountains were like a fire, and the ball crowns were like fireballs, one tree after another, pure and one color, extending to the end of the field of vision and passing through the red leaf forest, as if entering a warm, brilliant and festive paradise, with smiling faces everywhere.

There are many ancient villages around the main peak of Tongbai Mountain, such as Anhe Village and Tianwang Village. The walls of the village are well preserved, winding, tall, solid and magnificent.
