Zhang Daoling's magical powers are inscrutable, and many people ask him for Tao. Zhang Tianshi has his own rules of choice. Zhang Tianshi tested his disciple seven times and finally decided on a suitable candidate. How does Zhang Daoling try Zhao Sheng seven times?
Zhang Daoling seven tests Zhao Sheng.
Zhang Tianshi had many disciples, but Wang Chang was the only one who got a true biography. His disciples thought that Shi Tian was partial and reserved. On this day, a man named Zhao Sheng came to visit Zhang Tianshi. Zhang Tianshi knew this man was very knowledgeable and determined to bring him into this family, but he decided to test him. He told his disciples not to communicate with Zhao Sheng to test his determination. Zhao Sheng saw that everyone was indifferent and no one entertained him at night, so he camped out alone. So Zhao Sheng stayed outside the door for several days. When people saw that Zhao Sheng had no intention of leaving, they hated his guts and treated him as a beggar. After a few days, Master finally spoke. He saw Zhao Sheng being tortured and agreed to accept him as an apprentice. When Zhang Tianshi was out in Zhao Sheng, he seduced Zhao Sheng with a beautiful woman. Zhao Sheng first sleeps separately from the woman, and then takes care of her to eat and drink. When he found that there was something evil about this woman, he simply didn't even go into the hut. Zhang Tianshi knew that Zhao Sheng had passed his own test. Zhao Sheng went up the mountain to cut firewood. Because he used too much force, the tree was cut off by the middle, and gold jumped out of it. Zhao Sheng thought he was a monk, so he buried the soil and picked up firewood to go home. Once, Zhao Sheng was very tired when chopping wood, so he sat down to have a rest. Suddenly, the wind was blowing hard and wild animals were biting themselves around, but Zhao Sheng was not afraid at all. He thinks that life and death are life, and there is nothing to be afraid of. Zhao Sheng bought cloth to go home and was framed as a thief by the shopkeeper. Zhao Sheng gave his clothes to the shopkeeper just because the cloth was wanted by the master. Zhang Tianshi tempted Zhao Sheng seven times, big and small, but failed to shake Zhao Sheng's determination to seek Tao wholeheartedly. Zhang Tianshi also successfully taught his secret method to Zhao Sheng.
Descendants of Zhang Daoling
After Zhang Tianshi ascended to heaven, all his descendants inherited Taoism from Zhang Tianshi. It can be said that Zhang Tianshi was very helpful to his descendants, and the rulers also respected Zhang Tianshi's Taoism, and Zhang Tianshi's descendants retained the titles of previous dynasties. Tang Xizong gave Santian the title of an exorcist, and both gave this title. In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Shi Tian was renamed as a real person, which shows that the rulers supported Taoism as much as Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Shi Tian's name comes from the forest. According to legend, the emperor won the battle only by worshipping Shi Tian, and Shi Tian's name appeared at that time. Zhang Daoling called himself Shi Tian when he entered shushan monastery. Later, the representative of the Taoist school claimed to be Shi Tian. However, the name "Shi Tian" did begin in Zhang Tianshi. Although the code name "Shi Tian" was not used in the Ming Dynasty, it was used again and has been used ever since. As the founder of Taoism, Zhang Tianshi has profound Taoism and strong ability to exorcise evil spirits. As the ancestor of soaring, his position is very high. Coupled with the rendering of folk fairy tales, people's respect for him is becoming more and more obvious. Because it is widely circulated, the phenomenon of sacrificing him still exists. As for the descendants of Master Tiandao, his 56th grandson, presided over by Fu, is a deputy to the National People's Congress and the executive director of the Chinese Taoist Association. Zhang Jinhua is the president of the World Yijing Feng Shui Research Institute. It can be said that all his descendants devoted themselves to the study of Taoism. In order to inherit the excellent qualities of their ancestors, they are engaged in Taoism-related work in all walks of life.
