Is Zhang Sanfeng a real person? Really lived this long?
This seems to be a puzzle that never has an answer. Has Zhang Sanfeng, who will never be found, ever been to Wudang? Just as historians re-examine history, a strong evidence makes people no longer doubt. Suspense is often more likely to give birth to legends. Zhang Sanfeng has become a symbol of Wudang Mountain. Nowadays, people are convinced that this Zhang Zhenren, who is both internal and external, must have an indissoluble bond with Wudang. According to historical records, more than 6 years ago, Zhang Sanfeng also opened a guild hall here to teach his disciples. This is a treasure he has worked so hard to find. At that time, when he was wandering in Wudang for 8 miles, and the mountains of Zhanqi Peak, Meiziya and Cangfangling descended, he saw that the mountains here were stacked and undulating like a treasure chair, surrounded by Jiudu River. At this point, Wudang Mountains converge. It is the geomantic treasure-house for building temples. Perhaps, the prosperity of Wudang will start from here. Facing the vast mountains, he said with great emotion that he would go down in history in the future. It was this sentence that touched the mind of an emperor. At this time, Zhu Di, the Ming emperor, had just succeeded to the throne. Although he successfully won the throne from his nephew, the title of usurper always made him vaguely uneasy. He is eager for someone to help him stabilize people's hearts, and Zhang Sanfeng is undoubtedly the most suitable candidate. What's more, this is also the unfulfilled wish of my father. In the third year of Yongle, an imperial edict was issued from Beijing, which was the first time that Zhu Di sent people to visit Zhang Sanfeng all over the world. After more than ten years, Zhu Di sent people to visit Zhang Zhenxian six times. In 1417, there was a Taoist temple called Yuzhen Palace in the Loess City of Wudang Mountain. It is a Dojo specially built for Zhang Sanfeng by Emperor Zhu Di of Yongle in Ming Dynasty. After numerous disappointments, Zhu Di heard that Zhang Sanfeng had built the Huixian Pavilion and Jiean as a disciple here. To show his piety, the emperor built this Dojo on the original site. He hoped that Zhang Sanfeng could preach and teach here after traveling around the world.
