The village with the best feng shui in Jiangnan

I have never dreamed of Huizhou in my life.

No one knows whether this poem by Tang Xianzu is critical or yearning, but I know Huizhou is an excellent tourist destination because of its beautiful scenery.

It is said that there are many ancient villages in Huizhou, such as Hongcun, Xidi and Jixi, which have long been famous, but they will inevitably be disappointed after they have been there. Perhaps because they became famous too early, many ancient villages have been eroded by commercialization and gradually lost their original tranquility and peace.

It was not until I met Chengkan Ancient Village in the deep mountains that I was moved by its primitive beauty. This village with a long history really deserves the reputation of "the first village in the south of the Yangtze River".

Its greatest feature lies not only in well-preserved ancient buildings, but also in its rich variety and orderly arrangement. Locals call it "Three Streets and Ninety-Nine Alleys", and every shot is an artistic photo full of vicissitudes.

Chengkan Ancient Village, alias "Longxi", is located in the north of Huizhou District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. The village was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period, with a long history of 1800 years.

The ancient village is located in the upper reaches of Xin 'anjiang River, backed by the mountainous terrain of Gao Shuang. The site selection and layout are completely based on the eight diagrams geomantic theory of "Yin (Kan) Yang (Cheng)" in the Book of Changes. If you shoot down from the air, you can see the stream passing around the village, forming a pattern similar to that of yin and yang fish. The two puddles patiently guided the river to walk across the street, still playing the role of flood control and drainage and irrigation of agricultural products.

The ancient village of Chengkan, which has accumulated for thousands of years, has left many scenic spots for future generations. Yanjitang, Luo Jin Muzhai, Luodong Book Temple and other cultural relics are well-known, and thousands of tourists come here every year.

Among them, the most famous Luodongshu Temple, also known as Zhen Jing Luodongshu Temple, is a brick-wood structure built in the middle and late Ming Dynasty. Together with the left and right tablet pavilions and kitchen miscellaneous courtyard, there are four courtyards, covering an area of 3,300 square meters.

Stepping into the middle gate of the ancestral temple, right in the middle is a tunnel with a length of 16 meters and a width of nearly 5 meters. According to the local old people, the tunnel is the main channel for worship, and non-respected elders can't walk around at will. Usually everyone goes in and out from the corridors on both sides.

There are hundreds of square meters of Danyong on both sides. It is said that there used to be eight ancient trees in it, but now there is only one osmanthus tree over 400 years old. It is said that "autumn in September, osmanthus fragrance", this leafy osmanthus tree is a symbol of the Roche family. If you look carefully, you will find that the bottom of the osmanthus tree is just divided into four branches, which means that the four seasons are rich.

Further down is Xiangtang, which is 2 1.6 meters deep and 25.8 meters wide. Only two people can hug the roof pillars. An old man proudly told me that the beams in xiang tang are made of ginkgo and the pillars are made of nanmu, which are precious treasures in wood. These four pillars alone are worth1.200 million.

The last step is to imitate the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City, which is called "China Ancient Architecture Art Museum".

The simple, elegant and atmospheric Luodongshu Temple is a classic of Huizhou ancient architecture. It won the title of "the first temple in the south of the Yangtze River" with its unique architectural style, and it has high appreciation value from both artistic and aesthetic perspectives.

From the historical and social point of view, the exquisite paintings and lifelike woodcarvings in Luodong Album have extraordinary cultural value, and the architectural history and culture contained in the ancestral hall have high scientific value, so it is no exaggeration to call them treasures.

In addition to Luodong Book Temple, Huanxiu Bridge (built in Yuan Dynasty) is an ancient building in Chengkan Village, and it is one of the traffic arteries from Xiuning to Shexian and Xucun in ancient times.

There is also a touching story about this ancient bridge, which has experienced thousands of years of wind and rain. It is said that in the Yuan Dynasty, there was a loving young couple in Chengkan Village. Because of their poor family, their husbands had the idea of going out to do business, but unfortunately they died in a foreign land because of overwork.

Later, his wife inherited her husband's inheritance, made great efforts to make money, donated this river-crossing stone bridge and named it after her husband.

There is a pavilion on the stone bridge that we can see today, which was rebuilt and built by Luo Fujun (nicknamed Heizuo) in Qing Dynasty. Later, the name of this village became the "Black Bridge" of Huanxiu Bridge.

Although Chengkan Ancient Village is small, its original features are particularly beautiful. When tourists come here, don't forget to taste the famous local hairy tofu (a special traditional dish in Huangshan area of Huizhou).

It looks like a layer of white fluff outside. It is said that it is made by traditional artificial fermentation. After cooking, it tastes delicious, and people who have tasted it are full of praise.

I wonder if you are interested in Chengkan Ancient Village after listening to the sharing?
