Visit Huangcun, the birthplace of Yu family.

Huangcun, a small village with few houses, is an ancient village in Tuochuan Township, Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province, and also the birthplace of the Yu family. The Doctor Bridge at the entrance of the village at the end of the Song Dynasty and the Millennium Luohansong are quite eye-catching. The layout of the village is exquisite and light. The Qingxi in the village is surrounded by houses. The whole village is close to nature, integrated with mountains and rivers, pursuing tranquility and living in groups. It is one of the most perfect ancient villages where Wuyuan emblem culture and natural landscape blend.

As soon as you enter the village, there is a covered bridge. The white wall at the bridge head is inclined, the bridge body is carved with wood, and the bridge is covered with tiles and carved with flowers. It's about 20 meters long. It is said that it was built in the Ming Dynasty. The branches of the trees cover the covered bridge with shadows, and the quaint and elegant covered bridge shows a vicissitudes of life. It turns out that there are two bridges here, because two people in this village have become scholars. The bridge was built to commemorate, and one was demolished during the Cultural Revolution. This bridge in Huangcun is said to have been crossed by Qu Yuan when he was in exile, hence the name Doctor Bridge.

There are not many ancient buildings in the village, but they are very aura and the layout is light and not messy. There is an inverted Podocarpus at the entrance to the village. It is said that when the founder of Ruocun first arrived here, he used to stick the branches of Luohansong upside down in the soil to watch Feng Shui. If it survives, this place is suitable for living. In this way, Luohansong not only survived, but also grew more and more luxuriantly, and the descendants of tree planters will live and multiply here from generation to generation.

This village is beautiful and quiet. Follow the winding bluestone path to the village and see several well-preserved old houses with exquisite brick carvings at the door and wood carvings indoors. There are more than 30 Ming and Qing buildings in Huangcun, such as Shi Yu Ancestral Temple, Zhengzhongtang, Xiangliu Building and Hanlin Academy. Now, the past years have taken away the former prosperity of Huangcun, but left these historic buildings. The long mountains hinder the connection between this ancient village and the outside world. For many years, Huangcun seems to have been forgotten by people. There are no tourists here, which is somewhat lonely compared with some famous villages around. However, a long history and luxurious old houses have witnessed the glory of the past.

There are many people surnamed Yu in Tuochuan, Wuyuan, and the local people speak with the same voice as Tongcheng people. According to the Tuochuan Yu Family Tree, Yu Daoqian, the ancestor of the Tuochuan Yu family, and Zhu Song, the father of Zhu, were scholars in the same subject in Zhenghe eight years (118). Yu Daoqian moved from Tongcheng, Anhui Province to Tuochuan Village in the second year of Xuanhe in the Northern Song Dynasty (1 120). The name of the village is taken from Wang Wei's "Alone on a dense bamboo, I play the piano and hum songs". The voice is so low that no one can hear except my partner Mingyue. Later, the Yushi branch of Huangcun moved to Zhang Cun, and the Zhang Cun branch moved to Likeng, so the Yushi villages in Tuochuan were all rooted in Tongcheng, Anhui in the Northern Song Dynasty. Yu Daoqian's descendants produced many dignitaries in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, among which Yu Maoheng, the official minister of the Ming Dynasty, and Yu Maoxue, the official minister of the Ministry of Industry, were all famous.

Yu's ancestral hall, also famous, was built in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. The building faces south, and the gate and gatehouse are magnificent and elegant. In the middle of the gatehouse, there are four embossed characters of "beggar first", all of which are brick carvings with phoenix, crane and unicorn patterns, which are divided into front and rear halls. It is said that an ancestor in the village won the first prize. In order to commemorate this auspicious moment, the ancestral hall was named "Beginning". Beggarland contains touching stories and is also the glory of later generations.

Yu Daoqian, the ancestor of Huangcun, planted a branch of Podocarpus upside down in order to verify whether the village was suitable for human habitation. If he had survived, his family had lived here for nearly a thousand years. This tree looks like a Buddha who has practiced here for thousands of years and meditated, full of Zen; The close-up of the tree is amazing. Two meters from the ground, the branches extend symmetrically around, and the leaves are dense, green all year round, like a giant bonsai, which is amazing and somewhat admirable. The bust of the tree is about 2.5 meters, and the height of the tree is more than 10 meters. The villagers in Huangcun have regarded this arhat pine as the auspicious god for generations. Legend has it that anyone who touches Luohansong will live a long life. Of course, I won't miss the opportunity of "longevity".

Wandering in the village, the noise of the world disappears instantly, leaving only the pastoral spring scenery, with an ancient rhyme, the gurgling sound of running water, the ancient covered bridges and the houses with white walls and tiles. ...

Everything here is so quiet, without the noise of tourists and the troubles of the world. The villagers live a quiet life, and the quiet ancient mountain village still exudes a quaint fragrance. It is at this moment that I really feel that tranquility is also a kind of beauty. ...
