Not all the columns are suspended, but some columns on the second floor.
Unique "Tiannan Street Ditch" —— Zhenwu Pavilion in Rongxian County
Zhenwuge, one of the four famous buildings in Jiangnan, is unique in the world.
Zhenwuge consists of more than 34 Tielimu Falcon bases, without a nail.
Located in the east of Rongcheng, Jingluetai Zhenwu Pavilion was recognized as the "Tiannanjiegou" and was designated as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in 1982. Jingluetai was founded in the second year of Tang Dynasty (759). Jie Yuan, a famous poet, went to the Rong County Governor's Office as the envoy of Rong Guan, built Lu Jingtai in the east of Rong Zhou, and trained to travel the mountains. Zhenwu Temple was built on the strategic platform in the early Ming Dynasty, and Zhenwu Pavilion was built in the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573). It is a three-story pavilion, which is now Zhenwu Pavilion.
The whole exhibition hall is a lever-type pure wood structure, with a height of13.2m, a width of13.8m and a depth of1/0.2m. The whole exhibition hall consists of nearly 3,000 lattice members, which are connected in series, supported, restrained and reasonably coordinated according to the principle of lever structure. Although the four large inner columns on the second floor bear the heavy load of the upper floor, beam frame, column, tile and ridge, the column feet are suspended and do not land, which is the most exquisite and peculiar part of the whole pavilion structure. Like Libra, it relies on the lever principle to maintain the balance of the whole building. The structure of Zhenwu Pavilion is unique in the world. Over the past 400 years, Zhenwu Pavilion has experienced five earthquakes and three extra-large typhoons, and it is still safe and sound. Zhenwuge is known as the "Tiannanjiegou". Together with Yueyang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower and Wangtengting Pavilion, it is the only four famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River that have not been rebuilt and preserved completely.
When you board Zhenwu Pavilion, you can see the sparkling embroidered river and leisurely canoes coming and going. When you look far away, you can see the majestic mountains in front of you. 1962, Professor Liang Sicheng, a famous ancient architect, visited Zhenwu Pavilion in Rong County and published a research paper, which made the outstanding architectural art of Zhenwu Pavilion in Jingluetai known to the world. Numerous experts, scholars and tourists came to study and visit Zhenwu Pavilion. Professor and archaeologist Long of South China University of Technology wrote an inscription praising it as "the wonder of the South China Sea". Fei Xiaotong, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), commented on his inscription: "Leverage the structure, seize the lean seven times"; The famous professor Shang Chengzuo was moved by the inscription and praised it as "Tiannanjiegou"; Lawrence taylor, an American professor, wrote an inscription praising: "This building represents the perfect combination of knowledge, science and spirit of the people of China". The building of Zhenwu Pavilion in Elf Terrace embodies the wisdom of the ancient working people in China.
