Is the owl a mascot?

There are some folk sayings in our country, such as "A night owl comes into the house and nothing comes" and "He is afraid of the night owl barking and laughing". Owls are often regarded as "ominous birds". Actually this is a misunderstanding. Owl is actually a kind of beneficial bird, which mainly feeds on mice, reducing the harm of many mice and making great contributions to the harvest of human food. Therefore, we should regard it as an auspicious bird.
