Bus: Dunhuang is a small city, and some scenic spots can be reached within walking distance, such as Mogao Grottoes and Crescent Spring. It will arrive in half an hour.
Rent: because the urban area is not big, basically take a taxi? 20-30 bucks? We will arrive in 20-30 minutes. What is the starting price? Five dollars is still very affordable.
Tickets are divided into two options: ordinary tickets in peak season and emergency tickets:
Ordinary ticket: 238 yuan/person, you can visit 8 caves and watch 2 digital movies.
-Emergency ticket: 100 yuan/person, only four caves can be visited, and there is no digital movie. If it is difficult to buy tickets in the peak season, you can choose emergency tickets, but compared with normal tickets, there will be a certain gap in the visit experience.
Another thing to note is that students with master's degree or below have preferential tickets ~ so plan your trip in advance and buy tickets ~
Visit process:
Change the "scenic gate" to a paper ticket (the full-price ticket can be a self-service machine, and others can find a manual window)
Watch two digital movies for 40 minutes;
After watching the movie, take the scenic bus (20 minutes) to the Mogao Grottoes, and then walk a short distance.
Find a commentator to get headphones and visit ordinary caves;
After visiting ordinary grottoes, come out to buy tickets, continue to visit characteristic grottoes and visit Wenchuang shops;
Come back and cross a small bridge. After crossing the bridge, 1) you can visit the exhibition center, where there is a replica cave worth seeing. 2) Return to the bus stop and take the bus to the "scenic gate" again.

Special grottoes and ordinary grottoes are actually together. After visiting our team's ordinary grottoes, we have enough time to visit other ordinary grottoes with other teams. However, special caves need to be unlocked by special personnel, and the payment receipt should be checked;
The ticket office of special caves needs to go out of the cave visiting area, that is to say, if you go out and buy tickets for special caves, you can't go in to visit ordinary caves.
