Where is the tallest bridge in China?

The highest bridge in China is Beipanjiang Bridge, which is located on Beipanjiang Grand Canyon at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, with a height of 565 meters. It is China's first Gao Qiao and the world's first Gao Qiao.

Beipanjiang Bridge is located in Yingpan Township, Shuicheng County, Guizhou Province. It crosses the Beipanjiang Grand Canyon from the section between the big and small rivers of Beipanjiang. The terrain on both sides is steep, the terrain changes sharply and fluctuates greatly, and the valley is more than 300 meters deep. Beipanjiang Bridge, located at the junction of Xuanwei, Yunnan and Shuicheng, Guizhou, spans Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, with a total length of 134 1.4m and a vertical height of 565m from the deck to the bottom of the valley, making it the first Gao Qiao in the world. At the same time, the main piers on the east and west banks of the bridge are 269 meters and 247 meters respectively, and the main span of 720 meters is second only to the Yachi River Bridge on Guizhou-Qianxi Expressway, which started construction in the later period, ranking second in the world among similar bridges.

Beipanjiang River is a major tributary of Hongshui River in the upper reaches of Xijiang River in the Pearl River Basin. It originates from the northern foot of Maxiong Mountain in Wumeng Mountain range, Zhanyi County, Yunnan Province, flows through Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, and is bordered by Yungui River in many places, and flows into the left bank of Hongshui River at Shuangjiangkou. Beipanjiang River is 449 kilometers long, with a total drop of 1.985 meters and an average gradient of 4.42‰. The average annual discharge of the estuary is 390 cubic meters per second, and the basin area is 26,557 square kilometers.
