Where is the Giant Buddha in the Temple of Heaven in Hong Kong?

The Giant Buddha in the Temple of Heaven in Hong Kong belongs to a famous religious tourist attraction in Hong Kong.

On the west side of Hong Kong Island, there is a vast and beautiful Lantau Island floating. There is a magnificent Baolian Temple on the island, and the Giant Buddha of the Temple of Heaven stands on Muyu Peak at an altitude of 482 meters next to the temple.

Sitting on a stone pedestal imitating the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, the Buddha of the Temple of Heaven is Sakyamuni. He has kind eyes. Look solemn, as if silently blessing Chinese descendants. The giant Buddha, which cost HK$ 20 million to build, is 23 meters high, even the base is 34 meters high and weighs 250 tons. It is made of 200 bronze castings and covers an area of about 6567 square meters. It is the largest open-air bronze Buddha statue in the world today.

The base of the Buddha statue is where the exhibition hall is located. In addition to collecting scriptures, it also provides sacrifices for Buddhist relics that Taoist priests become after their death.

The Giant Buddha in the Temple of Heaven opened on February 29th, 1993. Since then, there have been an endless stream of tourists visiting the Temple of Heaven. Visitors can take a ferry from Unity Pier in the middle of Hong Kong Island to Lantau Island, and then take a bus to Baolian Temple. I am very happy to visit Hong Kong and witness the majestic momentum of the Temple of Heaven Buddha.
