Region Introduction

The temperature in Aba Prefecture decreases from southeast to northwest and decreases with altitude from low to high. . The hilly plateau in the northwest has long, cold winters and cool, humid summers, with an average annual temperature of 0.8°C to 4.3°C. The mountainous area has cool summers, cold winters and springs, distinct dry and wet seasons, and an average annual temperature of 5.6°C to 8.9°C. In the alpine valley area, as the altitude changes, the climate shows obvious vertical differences from subtropical zone to temperate zone, cold temperate zone and frigid zone.

Liangshan Prefecture has a subtropical monsoon climate. In most areas, the four seasons are not distinct, but the dry and wet seasons are distinct, with warm winters and cool summers.
