1922, Yu Pengnian was born in a merchant family in Lantian Town, Lianyuan City, Hunan Province, whose real name was Peng Lishan. Before liberation, I was in the book business in Shanghai. Then I worked as a reporter for a while. Although the time is not long, I can claim that "the foreman and corrupt officials are afraid to see me". In the 1950s, he was framed as a "fugitive landlord", arrested and imprisoned for three years, and then released early because the case did not match.
1958, Yu Pengnian smuggled into Hongkong, with only a change of clothes in his bag. In Hong Kong, he worked as a cleaner, handyman and construction worker because of his language barrier. In his memory, the most bitter time is a steamed bread and a cup of boiled water for every meal.
In the early 1960s, Yu Pengnian moved to Taiwan Province Province to develop real estate, which made him find the "first bucket of gold" in his life. Then, he took a fancy to the continuous warming of the Hong Kong stock market and put all his money into it. With the arrival of the 1967 stock crash, the stock index plummeted from the high point of 1700 to 300, leaving little assets in Yu Pengnian. However, the real estate industry in Hong Kong gave him a chance to make a comeback.
1973, the movie star Bruce Lee died, leaving a mansion of 1000 square meters. Hong Kong people believe in geomantic omen, and think that the houses that people who are too famous have lived in can't live, and no one dares to buy them for a while. Yu Pengnian borrowed money from the bank, together with his savings, and spent 6,543,800 yuan to buy a house and rent it to foreigners. By 1996, the value of this house has reached 70 million yuan.
Since 198 1, it has donated more than 25 million yuan to Hunan and built more than 20 social charity projects. Among them: Lishan School built in Lianyuan City, Lishan Dam for sewage treatment and Penglishan Rescue Center; The Wuyi Square Tunnel Project donated in Changsha, the large colored fountain of Changsha Railway Station, Peng Lishan ambulance center and Peng Lishan luxury bus line-Lishan special line; Peng Lishan ambulance center was built in Dayong. His righteous act was praised by all walks of life and was rated as one of the top ten citizens by Changsha Municipal People's Government. Peng Lishan Changsha Welfare Foundation was established in June with the consent of the Hunan Provincial People's Government to manage the projects he donated. 1988.
He has successively served as Prime Minister of Pok Oi Hospital in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, Chairman of Fude Development Co., Ltd., General Manager of Yuanchang Real Estate Co., Ltd., Executive Director of Yilang Co., Ltd., Consultant of Huanya Hotel Enterprise Management Company, and Chairman of Shi Yu Charity Foundation in Hong Kong. He used to be the permanent president of Tsim Sha Tsui Neighborhood Welfare Association and the president of Kowloon Lions Association. 1995 Yu Pengnian was elected as the representative of Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress. Yu Pengnian invested/kloc-0.8 billion yuan to build a 57-story five-star hotel-Pengnian Mansion in Shenzhen Luohu Business Center, and promised to donate all the net profit of the hotel to social welfare and education forever.
Yu Pengnian made a legislative request to the Municipal People's Congress: after a hundred years, the property right of Pengnian Building will not be given or inherited, and a special asset management committee will be set up to take charge of the operation and management, and the proceeds will continue to be donated permanently and free of charge.
Yu Pengnian, a famous figure and philanthropist in Shenzhen, died in Shenzhen Hospital, Peking University at the age of 93 on the morning of May 2, 20 15.
