Feng Tao Cemetery is a legal permanent cemetery officially approved by the national civil affairs department. It is located at the foot of Beitaofeng, Taoyukou Village, xing shou town, Changping District, with Shan Yang National Forest Park as its back and Taoyukou Reservoir as its south. In line with the Ming Tombs, the Jingmi Canal flows quietly from east to west. Feng Tao Garden is adjacent to Hu Jingzhi Resort, with nine lotus peaks and Yutao River overflowing with flowers and fruits on the left and Feng Taofeng on the right, which is a perfect match made in heaven. It is a typical geomantic treasure-house of Zuo Qinglong and you Bai Hu.
On April 26, 2008, the cemetery invited the respected master of the Tanzhe Temple in Beijing to give guidance. He thinks it is close to the Ming Tombs, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with excellent geomantic omen and unique geographical location, and laments that Feng Taoling is the garden of the latter half of his life and a blessed land for future generations.
Historical legends
According to legend, Guanyin Bodhisattva once meditated on Jiulian Peak and planted peach stones in this valley. Today, the Taoyuan and Persimmon Gardens here are full, so Feng Tao is named after it.
