Introduction of Sanqing Four Emperors

In the Taoist immortal system, there is no such thing as three clear and four emperors, only three clear and six emperors or three clear and four emperors. Among them, Sanqing refers to: Jade Qing Yuan Shi Tian Zun, Qing Qing Lingbao Tian Zun, Tai Qing Moral Tian Zun, no doubt. Different from the four royal schools, the six royal schools originated from the concept of "Liuhe" in ancient China. The so-called "Liuhe" refers to the huge space of the universe, that is, up, down and four directions (east, west, south and north). The six royal schools are listed as follows: Heaven and the Golden Palace, which rules the heavens, are supreme, and the natural wonder is Milla, the real jade emperor, which rules the gods of all gods.

Among the four imperial palaces, in order to form the Taoist "Seven Treasures" with Sanqing, the Jade Emperor and Taiyi, the god of salvation, were excluded, and the four imperial palaces of Sanqing were formed, which have continued to this day. Only the Emperor Wei Zi in the Arctic, the immortal emperor in the Antarctic, the Emperor Gou Chen in the West Pole and the Emperor Chengtian who imitated the emperors of previous dynasties were listed as the four imperial palaces.

As for the Sanqing Four Emperors, there is no clear explanation in The Journey to the West. The most common saying is: The first one is the Jade Emperor, whose full name is Tianjinque, the supreme natural wonder, and it is Milla for the Jade Emperor, who is regarded as the god who will always safeguard the Heaven. The second is Tai Shang Huang in the north-central region. He is considered as a god who helps the Jade Emperor to manage the latitude of celestial bodies, the sun, the moon and the stars and control the stars and the four seasons. The third is the Shanggong emperor Gou Chen, who is regarded as the god who assisted the Jade Emperor in charge of the North and South Peace and the Three Talents of Heaven and Earth, and dominated the military revolution in the world. The fourth is the queen of the earth, who is regarded as the goddess in charge of the fertility of yin and yang, the beauty of all things and the beauty of the earth.
