Dadiwan is located in Shaodian Village, Northeast Wuying Township, Qin 'an County, Tianshui City, which is 102 km away from Tianshui City. Dadiwan site was discovered by Gansu Provincial Cultural Management Committee during the provincial cultural relics survey from 65438 to 0958, and was later announced as a provincial cultural relics protection unit. 1978 started excavation, and 1988 was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit. 199465438+February, Gansu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China identified it as "the patriotic education base in Gansu Province".
Dadiwan site is a large Neolithic site with a total area of 320,000 square meters. By the end of 1984, * * * exposed area 13700 square meters, 238 houses were unearthed, 357 ash pits, 79 tombs, 38 kilns, 0/06 cooktops/kloc-0, 8 ditches for protection and drainage, and various bones, stones, mussels and pottery. The site of Dadiwan dates from 7800 years ago to 4800 years ago at the latest. It has a cultural continuity of 3,000 years, and its scale and rich connotation are also rare in the archaeological history of China.
