Extended data:
In the1980s, most houses in Puxi were Shikumen, modern hutong and garden houses. In the early 1990s, with the start of large-scale municipal projects and the transformation of old districts in Shanghai, a large number of Shikumen were demolished. Putuo, Zhabei Inner Ring Road, Hongkou Tilan Bridge and Yangpu Bridge still have a large number of shanty towns and old-style alleys.
There are thousands of bus lines in operation at present. There are more than 10 rail transit lines under construction and completion. There are Chengdu Road Elevated and Yan 'an Road Elevated in the city center. There are three circular elevated roads around the urban area, namely the inner ring, the middle ring and the outer ring.
