Jujube witches' broom disease and fire dragon disease, also known as witches' broom disease, are one of the most serious and destructive diseases on jujube trees in China, and are called cancer of jujube trees. Once you get sick, you rarely get results in the second year. The diseased tree, also known as "male jujube tree" or "crazy jujube tree", can die after 3 ~ 4 years of onset, which is a great threat to jujube production. The disease occurs in all jujube regions in China, but it is most serious in Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Henan and other provinces. In some areas, the incidence of old jujube trees is as high as 60%, and the mortality rate is over 30%.

Generally, jujube bush branch disease first shows symptoms in the upper branches and roots of jujube trees, and then develops to the whole plant. The main characteristics of the disease are overgrowth of branches and leaves, yellowing of leaves and degeneration of flower organs. The main manifestations of diseased branches are overgrowth of branches and leaves, small and yellow leaves, curly leaves, dry branches in autumn and winter, and leaves are not easy to fall off. After flowering, there are obvious symptoms, mainly manifested as prolonged pedicels, abnormal germination of leaves and main buds, and diseased flowers generally cannot bear fruit.
