Fujian Tulou is mainly located in Zhangzhou City, Longyan City and Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, including Nanjing Tulou, Yongding Tulou, Huaan Tulou, Pinghe Tulou, Zhaoan Tulou and Quanzhou Tulou.
Fujian Tulou originated from barracks, castles and cottages when Chen Yuanguang opened its port in Tang Dynasty, and matured in the late Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. Eryi Building in Dida Village, Xiandu Town, Hua 'an County is a representative of Fujian earth building, which is a circular building combining unit and corridor. Known as the "king of earth buildings" and "national treasure", it is a national key cultural relics protection unit.
The Song and Yuan Dynasties were the formation stage of Fujian Tulou. The early earth buildings were small in scale, simple in structure, mostly without stone walls and rough in decoration, and basically square and rectangular in form. With regard to the oldest tulou, the earliest document that recorded tulou was the reconstruction of Gan Tai Zhi.
During the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, tobacco, tea and other processing industries in southern Fujian flourished and sold to the whole country and Southeast Asian countries. With the development of economy and the improvement of understanding of ecological environment, residents' demand for housing is more urgent and higher. Tianluokeng Tulou Group is located on the half slope of Hutong Mountain at an altitude of 787.8 meters, 60 kilometers away from Nanjing County, and its residents are all yellow people.

Hekeng Tulou Formation is located in Hekeng Village, Shuyang Town. Hekeng Tulou Group is 58 kilometers away from Nanjing County. Yun Qi Building, located in Shajian Town, Hua 'an County, was built in the fourth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, and is the oldest earth building with exact date. It is a medium-sized oval earth building with two floors high. It is made of ordinary rammed earth and some mud bricks, and the bottom wall is 1.5m thick. The building is horizontal, parallel to the mountain behind the house.

Er Yi Lou is located in Dida Village, Xiandu Town, Hua 'an County. It is an outstanding representative of the round earth building in China. Known as "the king of tulou" and "the treasure of the country". The plaque of Er Yi Lou has been included in the book "Chinese Famous Monument".
