Enlightenment, we go to worship Buddha and pray for blessings for career, studies, safety and health, but the most important thing is to look at yourself, career, if you don’t work hard yourself, if you don’t work hard, If you don’t even read a book or think about it, health and peace are the same. If you don’t have self-discipline, then there is no point in praying. Master often says, practice depends on yourself, conduct and work depends on the individual, Bodhisattva will give you blessings. Yes, if you work hard, Bodhisattva will make you better and better.
Gratitude: A mother and daughter traveling with us kept letting us take shelter from the rain under his umbrella while waiting for the bus. As well as my fellow tourist Feiyun’s suggestions for this article, and my husband’s classmate’s suggestion to take photos and record what I saw and heard at that time; the tour guide Xiao Hu later provided me with some information for reference.
After traveling to Putuo to pray for blessings, I wrote and deleted this article, deleted it and wrote it again, and finally finished it in the intermittent work of these two days.
Along the way, the three places that impressed me the most were Huiji Temple, Fayu Temple, and Luojia Mountain. Now I will make an auspicious explanation of these three places.
1. Huiji Temple:
It was first built in the Ming Dynasty by the monk Yuan Hui. It was named Huiji Temple. In the 58th year of Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty, the monks were able to expand the temple into a temple. In the center of the hall is a statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, with disciples Ananda and Jiaye on the left and right.
In the fourth year of Kangxi's reign, it was looted by the Dutch colonists. After the sea frontier was calmed down, it was built with a lot of money by Kangxi. Later, Yongzheng expanded the size of the temple, but during the Cultural Revolution, it was severely damaged. Later, the abbot made a vow to fully restore the temple and reshape the Guanyin statue. Only then did it achieve its current prosperity. Because it is located on Foding Mountain , so it is also called Fodingshan Temple. We took the ropeway up, so we didn't find it difficult to walk.
After getting off the ropeway, there were some small stalls and hawkers nearby. They all bought some small pendants or bracelets, etc., and I was not unconventional. I stood in front of the stalls and listened to what they said about the names on the gold list. Cai Jin Bao, etc., originally came here to seek wealth and education, but we were immediately fooled into it, and several of us bought several items. Next, we continued to move forward. Not far away, we saw the Buddha on top of the Buddha. I thought we should have arrived, but due to the current epidemic and the fact that it was not the weekend, there were not many people. After we knelt down sincerely, we immediately went down the mountain, because there were only two people. time of the day, so each place has time to schedule.
But when we went down the mountain, we saw all the believers, men and women, kneeling to the top of the mountain with three prostrations and one prostrations. And these 1,088 steps would be very difficult for ordinary people to walk up, and theirs This kind of sincerity is admirable.
2. Fayu Temple
Formerly known as Haichao Temple, it is located in the middle of Putuo Mountain Scenic Area, on the top of Baihua Peak in Putuo Mountain. It is the second largest temple in Putuo, Fayu Temple. Surrounded by towering ancient trees, it is sheltered and quiet, which also reveals the mystery of the ancient temple. The tour guide Xiao Hu who led the group this time did not know his full name at first. Later, when he was taking the salutes, he discovered that everyone's salutes had Hu Qiangqiang's list on them, and he learned his full name.
Listening to the tour guide’s explanation, it is said that during the summer solstice in 1699, Emperor Kangxi brought a group of followers to Mount Putuo in the South China Sea to worship and play. After landing on the island, the first stop was the largest temple in Mount Putuo. " "Puji Zen Temple". After the tour, I asked the abbot of Puji Temple if there were any other temples on the island where I could visit and worship. The abbot replied hesitantly, yes, there are, but the journey is relatively far, at the foot of Foding Mountain. There is also a very spiritual temple called Haichao Temple, but it takes almost an hour and a half to walk over mountains and ridges!
As soon as the abbot finished speaking, before Emperor Kangxi could reply, the ministers beside him hurriedly said that the weather is so hot and the mountain road is so difficult to walk. They are worried about the dragon's body being injured. They hope Emperor Kangxi can give up going. thoughts.
But Emperor Kangxi thought that he had traveled thousands of miles to get here, and now he knew that there was such a temple on the island that had spiritual energy and good feng shui, so he must visit it and worship! Only in this way can we be sincere!
So I walked from the current Puji Temple to the current Fayu Temple. After walking for an hour and a half, I was dripping with sweat. As soon as I arrived at the entrance of the temple, it started to rain lightly. I don’t think it was heavy. It's not trivial, but the sun is out and it's raining. The minister next to me said again, why is the weather so strange? How can it rain when the sun is out? Is there any bad meaning? So Emperor Kangxi and his party hurried to Haichao Temple to consult the abbot master inside. The master was also a highly qualified monk. Seeing how elegant and luxurious his clothes were, he guessed that he was not a simple person, so he pointed to the pure vase and the pure vase in the hand of Guanyin. Willow branches, saying that this is the nectar from the willow branches spread by Master Guanyin on you when he knew you were coming, as a welcome to your arrival.
Next, the tour guide talked about some important things about praying, and everyone started to write prayer notes, praying for children’s studies, praying for family happiness, and praying for marriage. In fact, this time, there is a little I was quite surprised. In the past, all the people I saw in the temple were mothers and grandmothers, but this time, many of the people I saw were very young. They looked like they were only in their 20s or 30s. In fact, we only need this Treat it with a normal mind,
After listening to the tour guide explaining this story, look at the temples in Putuo Mountain. With the baptism of time, they did not end because of the long time, but with the passage of time. It has been a long time, but it makes everyone cherish everything now and know how to protect cultural relics.
3. Luojia Mountain is a walk up. Maybe it’s because I’m a little tired from walking for two days. I feel a little tired from going up Luojia Mountain. However, since everyone comes here to pray for safety and study, it’s better to go up. They all go to pay homage because they have such a mentality, and there are 6 temples here. Because they have to catch the 3 o'clock ferry back, otherwise there will be no food or accommodation here. That is not a joke. So everyone hurriedly finished the worship and hurried off the island to take the last boat back to Putuo Island.
In two days, I went to Nanhai Guanyin, Puji Temple, Huiji Temple, Fayu Temple, Shancai Cave, Fanyin Cave, and Luojia Mountain. This time I prayed for blessings, studies, and safety, and it was a complete success.
Finally, it ends with a sentence I saw when I entered Putuo: have good intentions, do good deeds, say good things, and be a good person.
