Overview of Nandujiang River Basin
Watershed area 1444 square kilometers, except 40 square kilometers belonging to Suixi County, the rest are in Haikang County. Nandujiang river basin belongs to terraced fields and low hilly areas, with an altitude below 45 meters. Terrain changes little, there is little vegetation in the north, and soil erosion is serious, with the loss area reaching 1.2 square kilometers, accounting for 59. 1% of the county's soil erosion area. The terrain is high in the south and low in the north, and the highest point is Caoluoling at an altitude of 133 meters, with lush vegetation and less soil erosion. The two banks of the lower reaches are alluvial plains with fertile land, and there are 220,000 mu of paddy fields with contiguous east and west, which is called "Leizhou granary". Nandujiang River Basin is a rainstorm area. Because the riverbed is gentle and the tide is propped up, floods often occur.
