What forage does the sheep grow in the south, and the shade-tolerant forage under the forest?

There are two intercropping methods of Tephrosia vogelii, Stylosanthes 184 and hybrid elephant grass Guimu 1 under eucalyptus forest: one is that the spacing between eucalyptus plants is 3 m×2 m, and grass is intercropped between rows; Second, the eucalyptus row spacing is 6 m×2 m, and grass is planted between rows, without planting as control. The purpose is to screen out forage varieties suitable for intercropping under eucalyptus forest and solve the ecological and environmental problems of eucalyptus plantation. After two years' trial planting, observation and determination, the average annual fresh grass yields of Tephrosia africana, Stylosanthes stylosa 184 and hybrid elephant grass Guimu 1 were 745.9 kg/ mu, 231.1kg and 394.3 kg/, respectively. The average annual fresh grass yield of eucalyptus intercropping with 6 m×2m row spacing is 1 495.0 kg/ mu, 1 134.5 kg/ mu and 1 080.2 kg/ mu respectively. In the second year, the fresh grass yield of Tephrosia vogelii was the highest, reaching 2 500.4kg/ mu. The crude protein contents of Tephrosia vogelii, Stylosanthes 184 and hybrid elephant grass Guimu 1 were 15.9%, 1 1. 1.7% and1/kloc, respectively. The results showed that among the three forage varieties, Tephrosia africana had the highest fresh grass yield and crude protein content, and Tephrosia africana was more shade-tolerant, easier to form grass layer and had high eucalyptus coverage.
