What do the Five Kui in Feng Shui stand for?
On behalf of the ancients, the Five Commanders of Feng Shui studied the Five Classics, namely, Poetry, Calligraphy, Yi, Ritual and Spring and Autumn, in order to gain fame and gain the first place. In ancient times, after having obtained the provincial examination, the top five were "Five Classics Kui", commonly known as "Five Kui". The reason why the "champion" was highly praised by ancient students is that it not only has the meaning of "first", but also has something to do with the prevalence of the belief in Kuixing. "Five top scholars" refers to the ancient people who studied the Five Classics hard, namely, poetry, calligraphy, Yi, etiquette, Spring and Autumn, in order to gain fame and win the top scholar.
