Jixi Hu Shi long chuan Hu

Hu Yan, the ancestor of Hu family in Longchuan, was a Sanshou master and the leader of China army. He went south with Di Chin and guarded Xuzhou (later changed to Huizhou) in Anhui Province. In 337 AD, he married Wang Chengqin in Huayang Town (now Jixi County). Shortly after their marriage, Hu Yan visited Longchuan, about 10 km east of Huayang Town, and found that it was "bordered by Feng Long in the east, with mountains in the west, galloping horses in the south and a long river (Dengyuan River) winding in the north". Hu Yan thought the landscape here was beautiful and a rare treasure trove of geomantic omen, so he moved to settle down with his family. Ancient Huizhou architecture pays attention to "getting water first", Longchuan is built on the Dengyuan River, and the whole village is like a big ship docked on the shore. Longchuan Lake is a famous "Jinshi Village" with talented people. There are only 1 1 people in the Song, Ming and Qing dynasties. Among them, the most famous are Hu Zongxian, the minister of the Ming Dynasty and the minister of the Ministry of War, and Hu, the governor of Liaodong. The Yi Shi Shangshufang, which was built for Khufu and Hu Zongxian, is preserved in the village. It is a fine Huizhou stone carving with a history of more than 400 years.
