How much do you know about the Ming Dynasty? Come on, everybody, 3Q.
In the eleventh year of Hongwu (1378), Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang officially issued a letter with Nanjing as the capital, and the unresolved issue of capital for many years officially ended. History often changes direction because of accidental factors, and so does the fate of cities. In this way, the capital of song dynasty and Fengyang passed by with historical opportunities. After Zhu Yuanzhang proclaimed himself emperor, he began to build Nanjing city walls and palaces. Shen Wansan, the richest man in Zhouzhuang, is known as the "cornucopia" in history and is as rich as an enemy. At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang attacked Zhang Shicheng, and Zhang Shicheng stuck to Suzhou for as long as August, and Suzhou strongly supported and enriched the people. After the destruction of the city, Zhu Yuanzhang hated Jiangnan's contribution to Zhang Shicheng, took away the number of books rented by Shen Wansan, and specially endowed Jiangnan with seven buckets and five liters of grain per mu. Shen Wansan is a shrewd businessman. He took the initiative to kiss up to Zhu Yuanzhang, hoping for peace. When Zhu Yuanzhang ordered the construction of Nanjing City, Shen Wansan "helped to build a third of the capital", that is, the section from Zhonghua Gate to Shuiximen of Nanjing City Wall today. After the wall was repaired, Zhu Yuanzhang was satisfied, but he didn't do anything to Shen Wansan. But the censors of the Ming Dynasty still came to Shen Wansan from time to time to find something, in fact, they just wanted to blackmail money. Shen Wansan is just a businessman. He doesn't want to mess with these people. Once and for all, he proposed to pay for the Ming army, and as a result, he made a big taboo in the court. Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang was furious and thought that a common people should reward the emperor's army with ulterior motives. Thanks to the kindness of Empress Mao, she said smoothly: "The people are rich in the enemy, and the people are in trouble. The ominous person, the sky will be a disaster, what punishment does your majesty have! " (Ming History, Volume 113, Biography of Empresses) Shen Wansan saved his life, lost his fortune and was sent to exile in Yunnan. He was a gentry, used to being pampered, never suffered this kind of hardship, and soon died in Yunnan. The bones dare not be transported back to Jiangnan water town and buried in Dali. However, the disaster in Shenyang did not end there, and later it experienced a toss. After Shen Wansan's death, although Shenyang lost most of its property, it remained prosperous and rich in financial resources. At the end of Hongwu, Shen Wansan's son-in-law Gu had an affair with a beautiful woman named Liang. Liang's husband, Chen Mou, is a mentally retarded person. Gu deliberately sent people to lure mentally retarded people out to drink and gamble, and secretly associate with Liang. When his father found out, he planned to get back at Gu. However, Shen Jia is rich and powerful, and Chen Jia is not an official. How can he succeed? Just then, aquamarine rebelled, and her father took the opportunity to falsely accuse Gu of conspiring with aquamarine. As long as the aquamarine case is involved, it will no longer be a private matter, and it will immediately become an important case. The adult men of Shen Jia and Gu Jia were all executed that year, and were tortured before execution to force Shen's property to fall. The child was exiled to Nandanwei; Women were sent to Huan Yi Bureau as slaves. As the protagonist of this incident, Liang was forced by his father-in-law and his father to hang himself. Since then, the Shen Wansan family, known as "the richest man in the south of the Yangtze River", has completely declined. Let's look at the construction of the Forbidden City in Nanjing. Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, already has a large-scale Miyagi. However, Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang refused to use the Miyagi of the Six Dynasties on the spot and planned to build a new palace. He is mainly worried about the bad geomantic omen in the old palace, and he is afraid of repeating the short-lived mistakes of the previous dynasty. Liu Ji was ordered to choose a site for the new palace. According to Liu Ji's investigation, Miyagi's position should be in front of the "dragon head" of Zhongshan, so it has the "imperial spirit". The geomantic treasure-house chosen by Liu Ji is the location of Yanque Lake. Yanzi Lake is located at the southern foot of Zijin Mountain, formerly known as Qianhu Lake. The name of Yanzi Lake dates back to the Southern and Northern Dynasties. At that time, Liang Wudi's eldest son, Xiao Tong, was humble and eager to learn, believed in Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and was especially good at literature. He was deeply loved by Liang Wudi and was made a prince. When Xiao Tong was thirty-one, he unfortunately fell into the water while swimming in Xuanwu Lake. Later, although he was rescued, he still caught a cold and died. The early death of the prince made Liang Wudi extremely sad. When he was buried, he deliberately buried the prince's favorite things before his death, namely the glass bowl and the purple jade cup. As a tribute to the western regions, the glazed bowl is actually modern glass, but it was extremely rare at that time and was regarded as a rare treasure. A eunuch who participated in the burial process got rich and started to dig Xiao Tong's grave one night. After the eunuch got the treasure, he fled quickly. While Suzaku was sailing on the moat, countless finches suddenly flew in and attacked the eunuch together. This rare phenomenon attracted the attention of patrol guards and eunuchs were found. When Liang Wudi learned that sparrows were protecting the tomb, he was very surprised and issued imperial edicts to renovate the prince's tomb. When the tomb was closed, tens of thousands of swallows flew in with dirt, built a big tomb bag and surrounded it day and night, guarding the prince's tomb. Because the prince's tomb is in Qianhu Lake, later people called Qianhu "Yanque Lake", also known as "Prince Lake". Song Dynasty poet Yang Xiuzhi (namely Yang Bei) once wrote a poem: "On the shore of Pinghu, you can see the high grave, and thousands of birds come from the ground." There are no waves, and the flowers are like Chu Jun. Yanzi Lake is quite famous in history, with a circumference of about three miles and a large area. There are many reeds by the lake, and all kinds of waterfowl often inhabit here. The lake is full of vitality and beautiful against Zhongshan. As far as building a palace is concerned, Yanque Lake is low-lying and too close to the outer city. It is vulnerable to the threat of the enemy outside the city in wartime and is not an ideal location. However, because Liu Ji judged this place as a "leading" treasure, the beautiful and quiet Yanzi Lake disappeared from now on. In order to build a new palace, Zhu Yuanzhang mobilized hundreds of thousands of migrant workers to fill the lake. Due to the low potential of the lake, the lake filling project is very huge and requires a lot of earthwork. Therefore, there is a legend in Nanjing that "three mountains are moved to fill birds". After most of the Yanque Lake is filled, in order to prevent the foundation from sinking, countless piles are driven under the temple foundation, covered with giant strips, and then a palace is built on it, and a large waterway with masonry structure is covered. In order to find out the water source of the inner palace, a large number of rain stones were laid at the bottom of the lake, allowing the lake to enter through the city wall and winding around the inner palace. "Local Records of Jiangning in Shangyuan" contains: "The new palace is located in the east of the capital and built by filling the front lake. Qianhu is the remains of Prince Lake, Yanzi Lake and Liang Zhaoming. It's crowded now, and there's a glimpse outside the city. "
