Scenic spots in Anxiang County

Anxiang County has a large number of natural and cultural landscapes.

Huangshantou is 33 kilometers away from Anxiang County and borders Huangshantou Town, Gongan County, Hubei Province. It is adjacent to Songzi River to the west, Hudu River to the east, Yangtze River to the north, and Dongting to the south. There are 32 large and small peaks in the territory, with the main peak being 268.8 meters above sea level. Huangshantou is known as "Thousands of miles of plains, but one mountain is uniquely beautiful". There is Laishi Lake in the north, Donghu Au in the south, Mingtang Lake in the west, and Huangtian Lake in the east. It has been known as "Silver Lake, Green Field and Golden Mountain" since ancient times. The Japan Toyota Town Friendship Delegation praised Huangshantou as "a pearl on a thousand-mile plain". Huangshantou National Forest Park is one of the first batch of national forest parks approved by the Ministry of Forestry in July 1992. It is located in Huangshan Mountain, which extends from the remnants of Wuling Mountain. It is located at the junction of the borders of Hunan and Hubei provinces, with a total area of ??150 hectares.

Shanpo Lake is located in the west of Anxiang County, only 10 kilometers away from the county seat. According to the records of Anxiang County in "Shui Jing Zhu Tu", the lake was originally named Shanbei Lake, and the local people named it Shanpo Lake, which is homophonic. The county water conservancy annals state that Shanpo Lake was originally part of Guyunmengze, belonging to the 800-mile Dongting area, and was gradually reclaimed since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The cultural landscape includes Huachenggang ruins and Tangjiagang ruins.
