Xiamayou Village Committee is located in the mountainous area 0.5km 165438+ west of the urban area, and has three natural villages, namely Mayou, Zhaishang and Luzhigou. * * * Five villager groups, 325 households, 1.042 people, cultivated land 1.950 mu, cultivated land per capita 1.87 mu, belonging to the original village of Gaoping City, Shanxi Province, two kilometers west of the original village where the township government is located. There are underground coal resources and iron ore resources in the village. There used to be village-run coal mines, joint iron works and private iron smelting furnaces.
According to Gaoping county annals and the legends of most villagers, this village is the place where Qin Jun rode horses in the battle of Changping. Bai Qi, the general of the State of Qin, once commanded the famous battle of Changping in Anzhenbao and won the final victory.
It is said that this village is named after Qin Jun's horses grazing and fighting here. Zhashang is the highest point in the village, hence the name Zhaigou, where Qin Jun buried pots and cooked rice.
During the battle of Changping, the general of Qin went hunting in the mountains and found that the north of the village was a treasure trove of geomantic omen. So, he planted all kinds of pine trees with another general named Wang, hoping to last forever like pine trees. So far, these two thousand-year-old ancient pine trees have grown well and are very beautiful.

On August 22, 2009, Xiamayou Village was listed as the third batch of famous historical and cultural towns and villages in Shanxi Province.
On 20 16 12.9, Xiamayou village was included in the fourth batch of traditional villages in China.
On August 26th, 2020, patriotic health campaign committee, Shanxi Province named Xiamayou Village as the Health Village of Shanxi Province from 2020 to 2022.
Near Xiamayou Village are Dongfeng Wanshou Palace, Danzhuling Industrial Tourism Zone, Gaoping Yandiling, Changping Ancient Battlefield Site, Yangtoushan Yan Di Cultural Tourism Zone and other tourist attractions. There are some specialties, such as Jincheng Vitex negundo honey, Gaoping huanghuali, Gaoping roasted tofu, roasted pig's head and pigskin jelly.
