The jade paste spray in Shan Hai Jing turned out to be petroleum asphalt. Did the Yellow Emperor soar to immortality after eating it?

Coal, stone and natural gas have been formed on the earth for hundreds of millions of years. In China's literature, a lot of coal has been found, so are there any records about oil and natural gas?

Shan Hai Jing is the earliest record of oil and natural gas in China. For example, in Mountain Scenery of Nanci, it is recorded that the mountain is overgrown with weeds and full of fire. There is no vegetation on this mountain called Lingqiu. Why is it on fire? In addition, fires often occur.

If the fire occurs in a swamp, it must be biogas. If it occurs in a mountainous area, it is likely to be natural gas, indicating that there are oil fields in this place. There is also a record on the map: there is a fire hole in Shenqiu, and the light shines thousands of miles. "Songs of the South-Big Tips" also said: The soul has almost no south. There are thousands of miles of fire in the south. Bao Puzi records that the hills in the South China Sea have their own fires.

These records show that the fire is spontaneous, the fire is unusual, the flame is soaring and radiant, and it is difficult to explain the fire itself if it is not the natural gas overflow, so the so-called "multi-fire" in Lingqiu is not accidental, because the natural gas overflow in Lingqiu often causes fires, so the vegetation of this mountain is not natural.

Let's talk about the oil recorded in Shan Hai Jing, which is also a problem that has puzzled researchers for thousands of years. It is recorded in Xishan Jing that there are many white jade in Mishan Mountain, and its original soup is boiling soup, which is eaten by Huangdi. It is made of raw Yuxuan and jade paste. Mu Dan is five years old, with five distinct colors and five flavors.

This passage has always been puzzling, especially this jade paste. Guo Pu, a famous writer and geomantic master in Jin Dynasty, studied this passage thoroughly, but he still couldn't understand it. This kind of jade paste is white jade, and it boils like boiling water, and turns into jet after cooling.

It is also noisy to eject oil from the ground at a certain atmospheric pressure. It is no exaggeration to say that it is like boiling water to make soup. The jet produced by liquid jade paste is very similar to the asphalt solidified after oil evaporation. Asphalt is black, with a certain width on the surface, and it is as hard as stone after condensation.

It is completely understandable that people who write Shan Hai Jing mistakenly think it is jet, but it is difficult to understand the sentence "The Yellow Emperor is a diner and a feast". According to "Compendium of Materia Medica-Epigraphy", Li Shizhen noted it as eater, eater and sacrifice.

Huangdi people use jade paste to eat or as a sacrifice. If jade paste refers to oil and asphalt, the Yellow Emperor can actually eat it. And Guo Pu believed that the Yellow Emperor was promoted to immortality because he loved jade paste. In Guo Pu's view, jade cream is everywhere, which is the skin shed by the dragon. After eating jade cream, you can transform yourself into a fairy.

From today's point of view, the oil flooding on the grassland has been washed away by the long-term sun wiper, or evaporated and condensed into asphalt. Mu Dan, which was originally soaked and polluted by oil pollution, gradually turned from withering to recovery, showing red stems and green leaves, so it is Mu Dan with distinct colors and fragrant flavors.

It means that after five years of oil irrigation, the branches and leaves in Mu Dan are so bright and the flowers and fruits are so fragrant. According to the above speculation, the earliest oil record in China should be Shan Hai Jing.
